Vintage Wishes

Morning, I am sharing a card I made using the Christmas Collection that Bev brought to Hochanda. I wanted to make a card with a vintage style, I thought that it would really suit the sentiment that I chose to use.

I must apologise for the lack of photos for this one. I am not sure where they went but somewhere between taking them and downloading them to my laptop they disappeared. I will just have to explain today and share the pictures that survived. I started by stamping the beautiful Elegant tree using Cobalt Archival ink. I stamped it four times, lining it up and joining them in the centre, to give the lovely pattern. Next using a brayer, I randomly rolled over the whole piece with Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Picket Fence Distress Ink. I didn't want this perfect as it was supposed to look like a pressed image.

Next using the fancy Merry Christmas, I stamped it in the corner, using black Versafine Ink.

Finally to finish, I back the piece onto black card to form a nice frame.

I hope you like the finished card, I am sorry that all the photos weren't available and that you can understand my explanation. Thank you so much for your visit and hope to see you very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx

Christmas Snow Globe

Morning, Today I am sharing a snow globe card that I made using the Christmas Stamps that Bev brought to Hochanda recently. I have used the beautiful Ornate Christmas tree in conjunction with the circle and hexagon Inkables.

Taking my Super Smooth card, I taped the Hexagonal Inkable in place to form a base for the snow globe, I used Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to colour inside.

Next, I placed the large circle Inkable onto the base using washi tape. Then I started blending the Distress Inks to give the 3D appearance of the globe. I started with Shaded Lilac, then added Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.

I had blended the colours in turn leaving a highlight towards the left to look like light shining onto the globe.

I used an anti static bag to wipe over the card before taking a versamark ink pad to stamp the elegant tree inside the globe. I covered this with fine silver embossing powder and used my heat gun from underneath to set.

Next using the circle from the Inkable set I masked my globe.

I then took the Holly stamp and using only the swirl part I stamped the background using Mowed Lawn and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink, I also used some of the colour to break up the whiteness of the background card.

I stamped my chosen sentiment in the top left hand corner using black Versafine ink.

To finish, I backed my design with black cardstock, giving a 5 mm border around the edge.

I do hope that you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared with you today and the finished card. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and I hope you to see you again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
