Marleen DT - Heartfelt Abi

Morning everyone..

Once again Wednesday and my turn to share some inspiration.

Ive once again made a tag..
Im sorry, but Im loving making tags at the moment. Im curently taking the Tim Holtz online classes and Im loving just playing with inks, stencils, pastes.. ahh anything that is messy lol.. and that then in turn spills in to my crafty projects..

This week Ive used the following stamps from the Bee Crafty STORE:

Here is what Ive made this week:

My crafty new years resulution is/was to learn how to use all the stash I have without buying too much more.. I really want to learn how to use my stamps in many more ways then just the ovious and that is what Ive done on this tag.

For this one, I use my sentiment stamp as a background stamp. I know, I know, its not like Ive invented something new, but its a new for me. I tend to just stick with the same guidelines for each project unless Im scrapbooking..

The rest of the tag is simply smothered in distress inks and layered with a mask using the clear paste through it.. "Heartfelt Abi" is also coloured with distress inks before spraying her with a homemade glimmer mist. It made her colouring smudge a bit, but i really love tha effect.

To put the tag together,  added the lace (which is coloured with distress ink) layered the flowers and added Abi. Finished with a home made cameo and ribbons at the top.. Voila..

And that is all from me for today.
Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Kerrie DT - Wordage 'Being Happy'

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday post for Bee Crafty Stamps

This week I have chosen to use one of favourite sentiment stamps from the Bee Crafty Shop

I love this sentiment and wanted to show it off in a Clean & Simple way I dont do simple often but sometimes I like to push out of my comfort zone

I have chosen a 7x7inch cardblank and turned it on its side so it opens as a tent fold. I trimmed a piece of pearlescent white cardstock to 1/8inch smaller than the cardblank by laying it over and marking with a pencil before trimming with a guilotine. I then lined up a plain circle die to the centre taped in place with some low tack masking tape and run through my die-cutting machine. For texture I then chose a simple design embossing folder, lined up the design in the corners of the die cut panel and run through my machine using the plate order for embossing folders.

I stamped the sentiment onto an offcut of plain white cardstock smaller than the cut and embossed panel. I used a wet glue on the back of the cut&embossed panel just around the die-cut aperture hole and then looking through the hole i lined it up over the centre of the sentiment then pressed down.
To created the fancy circle border I used a fancy circular die cut from black cardstock then lined up the plain circle die to the centre and taped with low tack masking tape, I ran this through my machine and when it was cut there was a tiny border left and the fancy circular pattern. I stuck this to the circle aperture using tacky glue being careful to line it up with the edge that was already cut.

I wrapped a black and white zigzag patterned ribbon around this panel and attached at the back with high tack tape. The bow i made using the offcut (last of the roll so i need to go shopping) which I doubled over at the back and wrapped a small piece around to create a neat bow.

I trimmed a black piece of cardstock to leave a small border around the panel which i fixed to the black cardstock using 1 mm foam tape for a bit of depth.

I added a dazzler embellishment in each corner to finish the card.

I hope you like my card today and will visit the Blog again soon for more projects by the Bee Crafty Team

Bee Crafty Love Birds

Hi it's me again with my usual Bee Crafty spot and I will be showing you some of the exciting new additions to the Bee Crafty collection. With Valentine's Day approaching Fluer and Freddie are cute little characters to use on your romantic makes also lending themselves to engagements, weddings or other occasions where a hint of romance is required.

For this card I used:

Fleur and Freddie love birds

Inkables Love template

Inkables heart template

Distress inks

Glossy accents

First of all I masked my card with the love template and then through one corner of the heart template I started to ink my heart using picked raspberry, worn lipstick and festive berries.

Then I stamped the love birds and heat embossed. I lifted some of the colour behind our happy couple using bleach and painted them using my distress inks. I stamped the hearts onto a separate piece of card, painted them and applied to the card.

I hope that you are all having a wonderful crafty time this weekend? Please feel free to leave a comment.

Happy crafting.

Marleen DT - Backdrop

Hello Blogger friends..

Once again wednesday and my turn to share some inspiration.

For today Ive had a play with making a tag. Its not something I do very often as I never really know what to do with them, but I absoutly love the shape and the size.

The size of the tag is just one I cut myself. I decided how long I wanted my tag, then how wide, and then measured (so they would be even in both sides) and snipped of the corners.

My tag is 155mm long, 90mm wide.
The corners are cut at 30mm on the length and 25mm in from each side.

For this tag Ive used the following stamps:
&

You can find them in the STORE with all the other amazing stamps.

This tag is made from water colour card stock and LOTS of paints. The paints are simple acrylic paints from my crafty stash.
I started by stamping my backdrop stamp with versamark and covered with black embossing powder.
Once powder was melted and cooled I started to play with my paints. I used a baby wipe to clean of the stamping between coats of paints.

The greeting is stamped on to the back of water colour card that I had dipped into the left over paints on my craft sheet.

I finised with a strip of hessian, also coated in paint, a wooden heart from my stash a a few half pearls.

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

DT Kerrie - FASHIONettes 'Vera'

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday post her at Bee Crafty Stamps

I made myself a promise this New Year that I would make use of as much of my crafty stash as I could without spending too much on New - well I've still been tempted with a few new things like magazines and a new case for my Copic Markers but I have also got out some old favourite things like Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder

I stamped FASHIONettes 'Vera' using Archival Ink and then made a mask of her using Eclipse Tape (another oldie but goodie) I covered the stamped image using the mask and then rough stamped the 'Backdrop - Bubble Wrap Positive' stamp over, I removed the mask which left her uninked. I then coloured her using some of my Pencils

The Background Paper I created using BEAUtanicals 'Cow Parsley' & 'Branches' stamps with Versamark and Clear Embossing powder which I heated with a heat gun to create a resist, I then inked over using distress inks but the stamped areas stayed white and raised. I then stamped a smaller stamp around using distress ink to add a different texture

I also stamped the larger leaf stamp onto cardstock and cut out to created the leaves for my floral embellishment.

I hope you like the softer artsy look I created this week and I do hope you will visit the blog again soon there are different posts each day from different team members

Bubbly Judith

Thank goodness it's the weekend! This week saw the launch of Dylusions new paints, boy am I excited! They are available at Bee Crafty to pre-order for the beginning of February. Yes I have already ordered mine and I can't wait to play!

Back to this weeks make I have chosen to use Judith from the FASHONettes stamps.

For this card I have used:

Fashionettes - Judith

Backdrop soapy bubbles

Backdrop Zebra

Wordage Life & rain (The word 'life')

Wordage Live with no excuses (The word 'love')

Distress inks

Promarkers

Embossing powders

I started of by stamping and heat embossing Judith (sounds painful) and then masking her so I could ink in a background of picked raspberry. Using a purple ink pad I stamped the bubbles and zebra backgrounds. Judith was coloured in using promarkers. In random areas of the bubbles I painted on some mica powders from my stash. I stamped the sentiments onto some coordinating card and cut out the words 'love' and 'life'.

Thank you for visiting today, have you all been crafting, buying crafty bits or are you all holding out for the new releases? I love to hear your thoughts and comments.

Happy crafting,

Hugs,

DT Kerrie - BEAUtanicals Dandelion With Love

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday blogpost for Bee Crafty Stamps today I ams sharing with you 2 makes using a stamping techniques I havent used in a while Bleaching & Lemon Juice and the lovely BEAUtanicals Dandelion and Wordage Minis - With Love

For this first one I used watercolour card trimmed to fit a 6x6 cardblank, I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks  and a blending tool to randomly colour the watercolour card. I then used the Da Vinci Script stamp with some bleach to stamp over the background - this removes the colour of the ink and gives a nice effect. I matted this background panel uaing black mirror board and fixed to the card front. I stamped the Dandelion stamp onto stamping cardstock using black inkpad and randomly inked the edges using the distress inks again. I matted this topper onto black mirror board and attached to the card front using foam tape at a jaunty angle. The sentiment was stamped, inked and matted in the same way and fixed to the cardfront with foam pads. I used an off cut of black mirror for the strip down the side and 2 dazzle flat backs to finish off the card.

For my second make I wanted to show a way of using the stamps to create a vintage effect.
I cut a nice sized bookmark from watercolour card. I tipped a few drops of lemon juice onto my non-stick craft mat and dipped a piece of cut & dry foam into it and sponged onto the Dandelion stamp and pressed this onto the watercolour card. I then did the same using the With Love sentiment and stamped it underneath the dandelion. Using the damp cut&dry foam I dragged it around the edge of the bookmark. I then heated the bookmark using my heat tool to heat the lemon juice as it burns it turns brown. I love this effect. I then matted the bookmark onto gold mirror board. made a hole using a hole punch, added an eyelet and threaded some ribbon through.

Thank you so much for visiting my post today and I do hope you will visit again soon

Marleen DT - Border & DaVinci

Morning everyone..

Wow.. 7th of January already.. And my first post of the year for

For today Ive used the Backdrops Border stamp called "Clover" and the "Science of Beauty" stamp from the DaVinci range.

Here is what Ive made:

I just LOVE how this card turned out.. Depending on how you turn it and the lights hit, the background stamping "dissapers".
I made the background using clear embossing powder then sprayed with home made glimmer sprays. The spray sat in little droplets on top of the embossing, but instead of wiping off the droplets, I tokk the heatgun to it. As the embossing powder re-melted the droplets set into the embossing powder. Its looks brill if I do say so myself..
The black mat behind the beauty is just black cardstock cut to size and then stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder.
My beauty is stamped onto siver mirri card and embossed with black embossing powder.
I finished the card with a sentiment, bow and a few black flat back pearls.

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

DT Kerrie - Backdrop Boarder - Clover & Cowardly Lion

Hiya and Welcome to my first Tuesday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

I was so so chuffed to be asked to join the team by our Bev quite a while ago and keeping it a scret has been so tough - I first met Bev at a craft show at Alexandra Palace I was looking for Wizard of Oz stamps at the time which of course I found on Bev's gorgeous stand and I got hooked on Bee Crafty from there - I then also took part in a workshop with Bev at NEC Birmingham where I brought even more of the Gorgeous Stamps - I fast became a Bee Crafty addict

Today I get to share with you an idea I had while deciding how to use the 'Backdrop Border - Clover' stamp, where I have used the stamp look like a field of Poppies - I also used 'Wizard of Oz - Cowardly Lion' and 'Wizard of Oz - Sentiment - Courage'

I stamped the Lion first and then using Distress Markers to colour directly onto the stamp I stamped the Border twice to resemble the field of poppies for the Lion to be sitting among - I then coloured him using Copic Markers.

I die cut the sentiment stamp using a circle die which i then cut out a slightly larger circle from mirror board and attached ribbon behind it to look like a rosette. I chose a simple matt of mirror baord behind the stamped background and image as I wanted no distraction from the stamps.

I hope you have liked my first Tuesday Post and I will be back next week so I hope to see you then x

Happy New Year Bloggers

Happy new year to you all, I hope you have had an amazing christmas and enjoyed the New Years celebrations. I for one have enjoyed the rest and feel recharged from being off work. I could come close to say that I could quite get used to hibernation and happily shut myself away for another couple of weeks. Alas this is not to be as it is back to work for me on Monday. Boo!

Well on my return to blog land I bring with me my latest DT make for Bee Crafty.

For this card I used:

Inspired by davinci - science of beauty stamp

Inspired by davinci - Script stamp

Inkables mask - damask

Wordage stamp - joy is a flower

Distress inks

Promarkers

Flowers

I stamped the image first and did a second stamp on a post-it to make a mask. For the background I used bundled sage, through the Inkables mask I sponged iced spruce. The script stamp was stamped with antique photo. I then smugged antique photo around the outside of the card before matting and layering. I used some flowers from my stash but Bee Crafty have a great selection of flowers to choose from.

That's my first blog of 2015 with many more to come. Wishing you all an amazing crafty year!

Crafty hugs,

Clare x x xx
