Morning, I think everyone must be gearing up for the Christmas Season. I know I am, loads to do and running out of time to fit it all in. Today, I am sharing another project I made using the beautiful Bee Crafty Steam Punk paper pad which Bev brought to Hochanda. I really love the designs on these papers, they are wonderful to use, each one is a piece of art in it's own right and would look wonderful in a frame with very little done or added.

I chose to make a very simple design using this sheet from the pad, I selected the area I wanted to use and stuck it to a piece of board using Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

Using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink I stamped the Large Feather stamps onto Kraft card. I also stamped the Ink Pot with the same ink before using Versamark and brass embossing powder to stamp the nibs (both in the same stamp set).

I used some of my alcohol markers to colour parts of the design to highlight the characters. Finally I cut out the other elements and secured them to my piece using 3D glue gel.

DT Kerrie - Vera - Be Yourself

Happy Monday everyone - I'm back today with another make from me using some Gorgeous Bee Crafty Stamps

One of my Faves ever is 'Vera' from the FASHIONettes Collection - today I have teamed her up with one of my fave colours 'Aqua' xx

I stamped 'Vera' onto smooth caardstock using light grey ink and coloured her using my fave alcohol markers. Once coloured I drew back over her eyes and lashes using a black archival ink liner pen (a bit of a trade mark of mine 

I stamped the 'Star Flowers' from the Fabulous Flowers collection 7 times and coloured in the larger and medium flowers using the same aqua coloured markers from before. I added a little sparkle using a glittery gel pen around some of the edges and centres. Once dry I cut them all out, I then embossed them from the back on a moulding mat using a round embossing tool. Next I stamped the Larger Branch from the 'Beautanicals - Branches' set onto offcuts of cardstock using light grey and dark aqua inks which I then trimmed round them to create some foliage for the flowers.

To make up my Card I used a 7x7 Cardblank which I then trimmed some Aqua mirror board, textured mint cardstock and some aqua spotted backing paper and layered these onto the card front using multi purpose glue. I trimmed the 'Vera' Image and mat & layered using offcuts of the mirror board and mint cardstock from before, I also punched a strip of mirror board using a border punch which I glued accross the card front before mounting the Image topper onto it using foam tape.

Using a Glue Gun I attached the flowers and foliage at opposite corners of the image layering them up. I added gems into the flower centres, onto Vera's earrings and into two corners of the card front. To finish the card I stamped the 'WORDage Be Yourself' sentiment onto scrap cardstock, I trimmed the larger word away from the rest of the sentiment, mat & layered both sections and fixed to the cardfront at opposite corners using a glue gun.

Autumn Lady

Morning. I am very excited to share this with you today. I have thoroughly enjoyed designing with these lovely stamps from Bee Crafty, hand drawn by Sam. The shows will be on Hochanda on Friday 24th June, Please tune in Bev's shows are always great and well worth watching.

I started by stamping the face onto my card using Memento Black Ink. My card measured 8 1/4 '' square.

I then started planning where to stamp the Maple and Oak leaves to complete my design. To do this I used masks made by stamping the stamps onto copier paper, I used 2 of each.

I arranged the leaves to compliment the face and features, then added branches to complete the look. I worked from the back forward to add interest.

Next I added my sentiment, also on the show. There really are some smashing ones to choose from.

Taking a selection of browns, reds, oranges and yellow alcohol markers, I coloured the leaves. Then the neck and face with skin tones.

I left the rest of the card uncoloured, completely white. Normally I would never leave the background plain, but for this project I felt it was the right thing to do. To finish the card I backed it onto brown cardstock.

War-bonnet Wilderness

Today, I am sharing another card that I made using the new range of stamps from Bee Crafty. They were launched on Friday 20th May, if you missed Bev's shows they are still available on Hochanda's website, via the TV schedule, using the catch up feature. Please be quick as they're stored for 7 days.

I started off with a sheet of A4 velvet card. I didn't know exactly the size of my finished project, but I was hoping for approximately 7-8''. First I drew a simple hat in pencil and then fashioned it into the base of an Indian War Bonnet. When I had rubbed out all of the excess pencil lines, I went over the required shape with a waterproof black fine liner pen. Then I masked off with Pebeo Drawing Gum.

I worked out which part of the large wing I would need to complete the head dress and applied washi tape to mask off the unwanted part of the stamp, then inked up using Versamark, removed the tape, lined up the stamp with the hat base. I used black fine detailed embossing powder to emboss the feathers.

I then took the small straight feather from the same set to be the hanging side feathers of the head dress. Then took the medium curled feather and masked off the base with washi tape as I only wanted to use the tip. Using black versamark I positioned them about 5-10 mm away from the wing. I added black dots between the head dress and the feathers and joined them together with a very fine line using a black fine liner. I wanted the feeling of movement so they appeared free to move in the breeze. I then applied drawing gum to the whole image.

I cut my project down to size and drew two deckled lines around the edge at 5 and 10 mm with my black fine liner.

I stamped the sentiment I had chosen from the collection. Then added the landscape using Antique Linen,Tea Dye and Frayed Burlap. I added some Brushed Corduroy in the mountain range. I then placed my mask for the Sun/Moon, For the sky I used mainly Shaded Lilac, then from the outside blended in some stormy Sky and finally a little Faded Jeans just around the edges blending into the rest.

To create the Tippee's, I cut a triangle from copier paper and ripped a slim strip also to lay across the base. I blended Frayed Burlap inside the triangle. I drew the base, posts and door flap with my black fine liner. I removed the Drawing Gum and coloured the head dress with a selection of Alcohol markers.I then coloured the inside deckled frame with my black marker.

Finally I mounted the card onto a black card base leaving approximately 5 mm around the card.

Another FASHIONette make from me today, this time it's MARY I adore these pretty/girly stamps they are so much fun to colour up using any medium but Fave of course are Alcohol Markers

Ink Blending Tool

I used a masking technique for this project. I stamped Mary first onto super smooth cardstock using light grey ink and then again onto masking paper (large post-its could also be used). I cut round Mary on the masking paper and fixed over the stamped image on the super smooth cardstock so I could ink a circle over her but leaving her completely blank. I used Distress Ink pads and my Inkables Circle Easy Frame Template for this. 

Leaving the Mask in place I then Stamped the Splatter Swirl stamp around the sides in grey ink and then inked lightly over the edges using black ink. I also inked a few spotty areas using Seedless Preserves distress ink and a small circle pattern template.

I pulled back the Mask to reveal my still clean stamped image of Mary, who I then coloured using my Alchohol Markers. Where I had stamped her in light grey ink the lines are softer and almost disappear when using Markers over it (I love this effect) - I drew over her Eyelashes with a fine Black Drawing Pen to make them stand out.

I added some gems and a Sentiment to finish

DT Kerrie - FASHIONette's - Tracy 'Important to be Nice'

I jumped back into my own comfortzone for today's post with Alcohol Markers and Pretty Colours

I picked my 3 backing papers first from my stash and trimmed them down and layered them up along with Mirror Board and Pearlescent Cardstock - I love the lots of layers look

I stamped and coloured 'FASHIONette - Tracy' and coloured her using my Alcohol Markers to match the papers I chose. I stamped the swirl part from 'Yuletide - Holly Swirl' (Christmas stamps are not just for Christmas) around the edges of the image using 'Pumice Stone' Distress Ink to make into a topper. The Sentiment 'Important to be Nice' is from  'WORDage' collection, I stamped this using the same Distress Ink, layered with some dark brown card and fixed between the layers at the side of the 'Tracy' topper

I created the floral bouquets using 'Fabulous Flowers - Star Flowers' stamped using 'Pumice Stone' Distress Ink, fussy cut them out and coloured them with Alcohol markers to match the image. I also used the 'Larger Branch' from the 'BEAUtanicals - Branches' set using the same distress ink, fussy cut them out and layers these up with some diecut swirls around the Flowers

DT Kerrie - Yuletide Elves - Quick Makes For Christmas Fair

Over the Weekend I have been Crafting up a Storm getting ready for my little ones' Christmas Fair at School where I have my first ever stall selling my Christmas Cards and Christmas Gifts 

The very gorgeous 'Yuletide Elves' have been a Godsend for making up lots of Quick Cute Christmas Cards 'Eric & Elsie' and 'Ernie' are all so so cute and so much fun to colour up and teamed with some lovely christmas papers from my Stash and now I have stacks of cards ready and packed for the Stall

I stamped the 'Yuletide Elves' onto supersmooth card and coloured them to match the papers I chose using my fave Alcohol Markers

DT Kerrie - Christmas Elf in July - Yuletide

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Awwww my Elves Stamps arrived so I am getting a headstart of my Christmas Makes, I'm a little late starting this year oooops 

The Elves are the newest adition to the Yuletide Collection - there is currently a Sale on all Bee Crafty Stamps so go grab them quick before the Sale ends xx

I have coloured 'Ernie' today using my Alcohol Markers - I stamped Ernie using light grey ink so the lines are nice and faint

I love these cute elves so so much - such cheeky little faces and so lovely to colour

I kept the card quite simple with just a few diecuts and pretty background paper - The Sentiment is a Yuletide Stamp 'Circle Message Holly'

Kerrie DT - Phoebe FASHIONettes

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

This week I have made a card for my littlest Daughter reBecca as its her 7th Birthday in a few week's she may only be young but she is already a shopping diva who knows exactly what she wants lol she has more handbags than I do 

I have chosen to colour FASHINettes - Phoebe this week her hair is a lot like reBecca's all long and wavy

I coloured Phoebe using my big collection of alcohol markers - she took best part of a day to colour but I loved every minute

I chose a pretty backing paper which I colour matched with my markers - thats the joy of having a big collection being able to colour match to pretty much any paper i choose - the Shopping List was created using the packaging from some stickers I got online last week it was too nice to throw away I stuck some washi tape across the bottom to hide the brand info. The writing is my own messy writing but I quite like how it turned out

I also used the front half of a shaped cardblank to create the layer behind the shopping list - which I stamped onto using 'Yuletide - Holly Swirl', 'Beautanicals - Dandelion' and the tiny butterfly from 'The Village - Elm Road' - I added a sentiment 'Happy Birthday' which I mounted onto a panel that I had covered using the same washi tape as earlier. The punched edge on the Mirror Board is from Martha Stewart.

I hope I have inspired you today to mix up your crafting materials with a few things you might not normally use

Kerrie DT - Dorothy

Hiya its Tuesday so I'm here to share with you today a card I made for Bee Crafty Stamps

Its half term this week so im enjoying a nice break from school runs - my kiddies are enjoying their free time too and we are planning a few crafting activities this week and I'm hoping to get a few more makes finished to show over on the Bee Crafty Facebook Group have you joined yet? 

Have you been watching our Beverley on the 'British Craft Network' an online craft TV channel where you can see lovely shows with gorgeous products

Ive been working with 'Dorothy' from Wizard of Oz collection you can find her and all her friends in the SHOP along with lots of yummy stamps and craft goodies

I stamped Dorothy using Memento ink onto smooth cardstock and coloured her with my Alcohol Markers

I chose a paper to colour match her dress and the layered up with mirror board and embossed pearlescent cardstock which I wrapped a ribbon around and added a small bow

I wanted to show off Dorothy so I framed her using some circular die's, I cut her from a plain circle and a decorative circular die i used for the frame

I chose a simple flourish die cut twice and some pale blue and white paper flowers which I have fixed onto the cardfront using a hot glue gun

The sentiment is from the WORDage collection 'Happy Birthday/With Love' set
