Kerrie DT - 'Dreams Come True'

Hiya and welcome to my Friday post for Bee Crafty which is now my weekly posting day on the blog

This week I got inky and messy with a load of my fave Bee Crafty stamps along with distress inks and embossing powder it was a lot of fun

The Bee Crafty stamps I have used are...

I trimmed a piece of gold Mirror Board to a few mm smaller than my 8x8 cardblank - I measure up against the card and make with a pencil at the length and width I like by eye then trim using a guilotine. I then did the same using a piece of patterned cardstock. I embossed the cardstock using a Burlap embossing folder and my die-cutting machine. Inked the edges of the cardstock using 'Frayed Burlap' Distress Ink and a mini round inking tool I also edged the cardstock with a dark brown alcohol marker

I fixed the gold Mirror Board to the cardblank using a strong glue and then fixed the embossed panel onto the card front using narrow foam tape

Next I trimmed a piece of watecolour card to about a cm smaller than the embossed panel all the way around then chose my inks and stamps to use

I stamped the 'Bubble Wrap' stamp using versamark ink, tipped clear embossing powder over, tapped off excess then heated with a heat gun leaving a glossy image on the card. I randomly stamped the 'Script', 'Maple' leaves 'Cow Parsley' and 'Branches' stamps around the edges and working in towards the centre with distress inks 'Tattered Rose', 'Victorian Velvet', 'Frayed Burlap' and 'Pumice Stone' - I wiped over the bubble wrap areas to reveal the uninked embossed areas. I inked the edges using 'Tattered Rose' and 'Frayed Burlap' inks I edged the card using a dark brown alcohol marker to match the other layer. Once dry I fixed the watercolour card panel to the card front

I was going to use one of the Fashionista's but after seeing how the background came out I thought it would be a shame to cover most of it - so I opted for a lovely sentiment instead I stamped the sentiment using brown ink and then using the Branches, Cow Parsley and Script stamps and similar random stamping as the background piece, inked edges and the matted onto gold Mirror Board. I fixed this topper I created to the cardfront using narrow foam tape

I really like how this one turned out and was a nice boost to my mucking crafting Mojo

Thank You so much for visiting the Bee Crafty blog today

Marleen DT - Freddie & Fleur - Wordage

Hello blogger friends..

Wednesday again and time for another post from me for

Ive had a play with Freddie & Fleur - Tete a tete from the
Love & Romance collection this week. Well Ive had a play with some of it ;-)
I also used the Glad I did it stamp from the wordage collection.

You can find these stamps and all the other yummy stamps in the
STORE...

Here is what I've made:

My inspiration for this card acctually came from my Bee Crafty Teamie Clare.
Clare had used a stensil in a way I had never seen before..
(pop over HERE for a nosy of Clare's post)
I really loved what Clare had done so I decided to try it out. As you can tell if you do have a nosy is that my card turned out nothing like Clare's but I still really loved the effect I got so i simply just went on to make the rest of my card.

First I lay a die cut circle onto my card stock. I then inked up my stencil with distress ink. I THEN lay it on top of my cardstock. (ink side down on the card stock)
As it looked a bit messy I decided to go with the mess and sprayed a mist of water over my cardstock so the distressink started to smudge a bit.  Finished of my background with a bit of dark brown distress ink on the edges and left it all to fully dry.

While drying I then made my topper. The circles are simply just diecut, but the heart is from the Freddie & Fleur stamp. I simply just inked up the heart and only stamped that, leaving the rest of the image. I stamped again, just the heart, onto pink card stock to make the 2 small hearts.

I then assembled my card with the matting and layering, stamped my greeting and layered on the circles. I finies with glossy accent and the 2 small pink hearts..

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my wee tag.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Marleen DT - Freddy & Fleur

Good morning blogger friends..

Ive had a play with Freddie & Fleur - Holding hands from the Love & Romance collection for today and Ive gone all monochrome. Not something i try my hand at very often.
You can find this stamp and all the other yummy stamps in the
STORE...

Here is what Ive made:

For this card I stamped Freddy & Fleur and coloured in the little hearts. I then covered the image in a doublesided stickysheet and covered it with glitter.
The rest of the card is matting and layering, adding a strip a ribbon, the greeting, bow and pins..
The finishing touch is the fake stitches I made with a black pen.

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my wee tag.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Kerrie DT - BEAUtanicals 'Dandelion'

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday post for Bee Crafty

For my card today I have used a mixture of my favourite Bee Crafty polymer stamps

I stamped the Script stamp over the background using 'Pumice Stone' distress ink, then the Bubble Wrap stamp into the corners using 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.

Using 'Spun Sugar' distress ink using one of the small round blending tool in circular motions darker into the corners and lighter around the sides, then using a piece of blending sponge i inked the edges using 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.

I stamped the Bubble Wrap again using White chalky paint

I stamped the Dandelion using 'Black Soot' distress ink, then stamped just the blown away seeds randomly around the outside of the card. Using 'Black Soot' again I stamped the Being Happy sentiment near the corner.

I have used some Pink textured cardstock and some Mink mirror board from my stash for the layers and before i fixed the stamped section I inked over all the edges of the layers and card blank using 'Spun Sugar' distress ink.

Clare DT - Leafy Butterflies

Hi there it's time for a Bee Crafty moment and this week I chosen to show you a crafty make with a feminine touch just for Mother's Day.

For this card I used:

BEAUTanicals - Maple outline

Wordage - Family masterpiece

Inkables template - basket weave

Inkables template - Alternative circles

Distress inks

Liquid pearls

Black & white pen from stash

To make this card I blended my chosen distress inks over a masked piece of card to leave a white area at the bottom.

On some spare card I blended the same inks and then stamped the maple outline stamp over the top. I fussy cut these and put to one side.

Through the basket weave template I inked some black soot and through the circles I blended some spiced marmalade.

I used the small maple outline stamp to make my baby butterflies and added some doodles through the middle for the body.

After that I stamped on the sentiment in black ink. I then applied my butterfly wings and once again added some doodling for the large butterfly's body.

To finish off I added some more doodles to the stencil and some liquid pearls.

Thank you for having a look at my blog today. Please feel free to leave a comment and remember to hit the follow button at the top of the page to see what I get up to next.

Happy crafting,

Marleen DT - Vera & Christmas

Good morning blogger friends..

Time for another post from me for

Having been on the Bee Crafty DT for a while now, Im starting to have a good collection of Bee Crafty Stamps. But like many other crafters, I tend to get something new and then forget about the "old". And I really find that with christmas stash. We get some new christmas stash, but as soon as its all over, we pack it away and forget al about it. Next christmas we do it all over again until our shelves and boxes are overflowing..

Ok to get to the point... I was looking through my Bee Craft stamp box and came across the christmas stamps, and as I really love them, I thought Id have a play but without making a christmas project..

And that is how my tag came together for today.

For this tag I used:
Vera from the FASHIOetttes Collection
You can find these and all the other yummy stamps in the
STORE...

Here is what Ive made:

For this tag (made from water colour card stock)  I started by stamping my christmas trees in black staz-on. I stamped them of the side so the top of the trees aren't on the tag at all. I then smothered my tag with distress stains and pads.  I used a stencil and pearl texture paste to make the bubbles.
Vera was stamped and coloured with Promarkers, cut out and added with glue gel to add some more dimention. My tag is finished off with a couple of hearts and a couple of beads.

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my wee tag.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Kerrie DT - 'Vera' - Dreams Come True

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday post for Bee Crafty (sorry I was not here last week I was poorly - but much better now)

Today I'm sharing with you a card I made using 'Vera' from the FASHIONettes and  'Dreams Come True' from WORDage

I stamped Vera using grey ink for a lighter lined image and coloured her using my Alcohol Markers

Ive created some layers using brown mirror board, floral cardstock backing paper & pink mulberry paper. On the edges/corners  have used Walnut Stain distress ink with blending tool and the curl from the end of the 'Holly Swirl' Yuletide stamp - I love how this stamp can be used everyday without it being obviously christmas - I love swirls around edges and corners

I chose flowers in shades of peach to complement and frame the image and the flowers from the backing panel adding foliage with Diecut Swirls and Punched Leaves x

The sentiment is one of my faves 'Dreams Com True' WORDage

Thank you for visiting the Blog today and I hope you will visit again soon to see the gorgeous makes by the talented Design Team

Marleen DT -The Village.

Hello Blogger friends..

Wow.. How the weeks are flying.. Already first week into march..
It's once again wednesday and time for my post for

Ive once again had a play with the stamps from the "The Village" range.
Again, Ive used the "Orchard Close" set.
You can find it in the STORE with all the other yummy goodies.

Here is what I've made for today:

Well after having made scenes for the last 2 weeks, I really wanted to try something else with this stamp set so I decided just to use the 1 stamp, the greeting that comes in the set.

I really just started to stamp the word home and the rest just flowed from there. It just fitted perfect to add the house stamp in the corner and the keys are diecut and embossed.

I then needed a background to add it all too, and having recently tidied up my masks, I remembered that I have a brick mask. Its was perfect. I first smothered my project in distress inks and then added some clear texture paste to a section of the mask. Its a bit hard to see on the photoes, but its give the card some fab texture up close.

And that is all from me for today. Dont forget to join our Boss Lady Beverly over on
And join us in the
 Bee Crafty FACEBOOK group

Anyway, thank you for popping by and for any comment left behind
