Da Vinci Creations

Good Afternoon Crafters,

Julie has been a very busy little bee craftier over the last few days, which mostly means she has been up to her eyeballs in Distress Inks playing, but I have to say she has come up with some gorgeous NEW samples using the Bee Crafty stamp ranges

This is a tag made using the Da Vinci Vitruvian Man which is A7 insize (approx 9cm tall) and has a gorgeous script detail top and bottom. She has also used the small Being Happy WORDage stamp which at only £1.99 is a fabby bargain, the backgrounds have been inked using distress inks as well as the stamps being inked up with distress (we love it).

TOP TIP: Julie does like to prime her acrylic stamps before using with an archival inkpad before their first use, but just using your regular choice of inkpad and stamping a few times on scrap paper will work too.

This is a card also made using the Vitruvian Man stamp, with lots of Distress Inkpads and distress edges

The brass embellishment is an old button with the back nipped off

The sentiments is the small Decision to Try WORDage again only £1.99 and stamped on a blank puzzle piece with distress ink.
I hope you like the new samples if you'd like to see them in the flesh/take your own photos of them , please feel free to pop into the shop and have a gander

Good Morning Crafters

Sunshine, Freedom & a little Flower

Good Evening Crafters,

Well flippin heck what a busy few days we have had at Bee Crafty.

Julie has been a card making machine the last couple of days she has become massively inspired by this weeks Monday Release of stamps of the six NEW WORDage sentiments and has been making away ever since and has even been keeping sketches of the next card she wants to make as the ideas are coming when she has only half finished what she's working on.

So her first stamp to play with was Sunshine Freedom & a Little Flower (Large)

This is just a beautiful C6 card that is suitable for any and almost all occasions, the FLOWER letters have been coloured using Letraset ProMarkers and the faux stitching agin done with Letraset ProMarkers with an Ultra Fine Nib on.

Here Julie has used a Wee Stamp coloured with ProMarkers and folded back the card and place the sentiment on the inside but so we can see it from the front. Julie has also extended the vines on the FLOWER using an Ultra Fine Nib on a Letraset ProMarker.

As Julie is getting very carried away you can look forward to a lot more samples using the Bee Crafty stamps and if you'd like to see them being used/get some ideas take some piccies of the samples on your own camera you are more than welcome at the shop.

You can also look forward to some bloggy posts from Julie and Sam over the next couple of weeks, so if you need any help please ask or like I say pop in Julie is loving getting messy and lets just say the workshop tables have needed a good clean every night as she is loving her Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads at the mo

Monday Stamp Release: Art is Never Finished

Good Afternoon Crafters,

Welcome to this rainy Monday Stamp Release, this is a lovely range that we are starting with 3 gorgeous designs inspired by one of the great masters.

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519)
was an Italian Renaissance polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer whose genius, perhaps more than that of any other figure, epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance Man, a man of "unquenchable curiosity" and "feverishly inventive imagination". He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived.

With that some way of putting his own artwork into our own crations seemed like a great idea

Like I say we are starting out with 3 Designs, all of which are available to order online.

We are looking forward to creating some gorgeous projects with these stamps and we are sure you will love them as much as we do.

Monday Stamp Release: 6 NEW Banksy's

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope whatever plans you have for the next few days are great fun and you are enjoying the
Diamond Jubilee Holiday, we have been watching alot of the celebrations on the television and seeing them around in local villages and I am soooo proud to be British and that Britain truly is Great.

The Banksy stamps and inkable templates have proved to be so popular so thank you for supporting us in our new manufacturing and designing venture.

So we have added 6 BRAND NEW Banksy Stamps:
so we now have a fabulous range of 9 Banksy Stamps which are perfect for cards, pages, ATC's and so many more crafting projects.

Thes fabulous stamps are different from any others available and we are so pleased with them as sometimes it's just great fun to play with something different

The background for this card was made by inking thechainlink fencing inkable template with black ink and then embossing through the Big Shot :)

As y ou can see all the Banksy Stamps come with a small Banksy Graffiti tag  that you can choose whether or not to add to your projects.

Inspired by Banksy Polymer Stamps

Taken from the controversial but fantastic world of Banksy, this Polymer Stamp range is in no way endorsed by Banksy. The banksy influence on the world of graffiti art is undeniable and we think they make excellent statements for craft pieces in either cards, altered art or ATC's.
So make something different, thought provoking and inspiring.

Playing with the NEW templates

Good Afternoon All,

Well me & Julie had a long list of very important and productive tasks to do today so as I'm sure you can imagine we were very good and got all of that done before we played with NEW goodies . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and if you believe that you'll believe anything :)

Well I was tring to be good and then Julie starting playing with thw new Inkables Templates and
OMG
they are fab, I'd had a little go before but some of the designs we added later I hadn't seen so as you can imagine productivity was temporarily (well almost completely) abandoned in order to play.

The first to be played with was the Damask Inkable
and here it is after embossing and some very light distress inking

How gorgeous is that, so not only are they spritable, inkable and doodleable, they are also embossible in a very very beautiful way.

While we were messing we decided to have a go with some others, along side some Banksy Stamps

Using the Brick Wall Inkable and the Guerilla Check Banksy, as you can see you also get a small Banksy grafitti tag with the stamp they can choose whether ot not to use

So what mum did was stamp the Banksy stamp, emboss through the Big Shot then ink through using a Distress ink

This was my play, I embossed first and on what would be the negative embossed side (where the chainlink inkable had been pressed in) I stamped the Banksy. I then went over the chainlink grooves first with a black sharpie and then a HB pencil to get the silvery highlights and then distressed the edges and layered.

I hope you like the samples and the Inkables Templates, they are soo versatile.

REMEMBER: This weekend is the first weekend of the month so we are OPEN Saturday and Sunday
OPEN Saturday 10.00am - 4.30pm
Sunday 11.00am - 4.00pm

The shop will be closed the Bank Holidays, however we are always available online and I am rarely parted from any of the technology that picks up the emails so if you need/want/have a query about anything on Monday or Tuesday get in touch, if not I'll see you over the weekend.
