Calee CT - Autumn Tag

Hi , I’m afraid I can’t stop playing with these new autumn stamps ,so my step by step this week features them again . This time I have combined them with the Moth Art Stamps and used some contrasting colours .

On a plan white tag I smooshed  distress inks squeezed lemonade and spiced marmalade using a sheet of acetate and couple of light sprays of water . When this was dry I then layered some stencilling using Dinkables from sets 11and 12 and the same inks . The tag was then edged with distress ink wild honey .

Next some torn strips of old book page were added for another layer of background and texture along with some stamping using one of the smaller moths from the Moths Art stamps using cracking campfire distress ink .

Next I stamped and coloured a combination of the leaves and toadstools from the Autumn & Acorns Art stamps and moths from the Moths Art stamps  .The leaves were coloured in traditional autumn colours and the moths and toadstools in shades that would contrast . Ecoline water colours were used for all of the images .

Next I used some glossy accents on the top of the toadstools , it’s a little hard to see in the photo ,but it gives the colours more depth and again adds more texture to the design .

My final step was to glue all of my coloured elements in place , add a doodled border using a black fine liner pen and a sentiment from the Autumn B sticker sheet .
I love how the contrasting colours on this tag make all the elements pop , thank you for taking a look and I hope you found the steps useful ,

Sally CT - Has your seasonal preparation started yet?

Hi There! Is it too early to mention the C word? After all we are 2 thirds of the way through October! I decided it was about time to get the stamps out  and have a play.

I began by die cutting a few circles from super smooth white card.
Next I stamped and heat embossed the round Bauble from the Baubleicious set in silver.
I used ecoline markers to colour the bauble.
Using Tag inkables set 2, a blending brush and Peacock Feathers Distress ink, I added some ink to the background.
On a scrap of card I stamped the sentiment in purple ink.

I trimmed it and brushed a little ink around the edges.

Finally, I attached both the sentiment and the circle to the front of a dark purple card.
Here's a close up of the embossing.
I used:
Versamark ink pad
Distress ink - I used Peacock Feathers
Ecoline pens
Circle die
Purple 5x5 base card

Alison CT - Pumkin Season

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a quick and easy card created using some card, Catalyst Collage paper and Wordy Stickers.
To begin I created a 6 x 6 inch cream card blank and glued a 5 x 5 brown card matt on to it.
I then cut a piece of the Pumpkin Season Catalyst Collage paper to 4.5 x 4.5 inches, ensuring there was a suitable image on my piece. I glued this to the brown layer of my card.
Next I added gold faux stitches to the brown matt and brown faux stitches to the catalyst collage paper.
Finally I added a sentiment from the Autumn Wordy Stickers and drew lines around each part.

Calee CT - Vintage Autumn

Hi ,this week I have been having a play with this weeks ( 41 ) palette colours which I think  have a vintage feel .So my step by step this week is a vintage autumn journal page

Firstly I gathered together some inks ,pencils and sprays that worked with the colour palette.

Next I chose a paper from the Moths & Peonies catalyst collage pack which also  had a vintage feel , this was then cut to fit my 6x6 inch journal ,leaving a small border of page .

This was given an inked edge using a combination of  vintage photo distress ink and versafine clair in pine cone .

The floral image on the paper was then coloured using two distress water colour pencils , forest moss and brushed corduroy ,for the foliage and distress ink uncharted mariner for the flower . The paper was then glued into my journal and given a white stitched border using a Posca pen .

Next it was time to create my focal images for this page . For this I used the Autumn and Acorns Art stamps , which I have to say are fast  becoming some of my favourite stamps . These were  stamped using the versafine clair ink - pine cone and coloured  with a combination of the palette colours using both the water colour pencils and inks. Highlights and details were added with a white gel pen .

To finish my page the stamped images were glued in place and the sentiment from this stamp set was added
Thank you for taking look this week , don’t forget this months challenge theme is autumn and there is still lots of time to  join in , why not have a go ?

Sally CT - Pumpkin Season card

Hi There! Thought I would share how I created this simple DL sized Autumn card today. It would be suitable for lots of different occasions , so for now I have left it without a sentiment.

I began by matting and layering a panel of Catalyst collage paper from the A4 Pumpkin Season set onto a DL card blank.

Next I stamped a selection of leaves, mushrooms and acorns onto some watercolour card using Versafine Clair ink and cut them out.
I used a range pf Ecoline pens to colour them, blending with a wet brush.

When these were dry I arranged a selection of them in the Bottom corner of the card and used 3d glue to attach them.
Finally I added faux stitching in white on the Catalyst Collage paper and in black on the Base card. I may well use a wordy sticker or a stamp to finish it at a later date.

I used:
Black paper
DL white card
Black Versafine Clair ink
Ecoline pens
White Posca Pen

This is a really simple card that would be perfect for entering in our Facebook Group Challenge where the theme is Autumn

Alison CT - Autumn

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using the new products.
To begin, I cut a piece of the Autumn Art Journal Catalyst Collage paper to fit my art journal page and used matte medium to glue it to the page.
Next, I wiped my black soot distress oxide ink pad over the spiders web dinkable,  spritzed it lightly with water and then pressed it on to the page.  I repeated this and left the page to dry.
On separate card,  stamp a mix of the Autumn and Acorn images and 2 of the pumpkin from the Autumn Floral set. I coloured them with distress watercolour pencils and a waterbrush. I then cut them out.

I glued the images to the page.
Finally, I added a sentiment from the black Autumn Wordy Stickers.
Here's another look at the finished page.

Calee CT - Autumn Brights

Hello , I have been enjoying playing in my art journal this week  , with the new autumn stamps and catalyst papers .  For my step by step I really wanted to match the bright colours in the Autumn Art journal catalyst collage papers.

Firstly I decided on my A5 art journal and one of the A5 Autumn Art journal papers , which I cut to fit my journal leaving a small border of my page .

I then added some stencilling with two Dinkables from set 15 and taking my inspiration from the colours in the paper .I used distress oxide picked raspberry and distress ink uncharted mariner .

Another layer of dimension was then added with some texture past and a Dinkable from set 7 .

While my background was drying I stamped out an coloured an assortment of images from the Autumn & Acorns and Autumn Floral stamp sets .These were coloured with a combination of distress inks and Ecoline water colour pens with white gel pen highlights and details .

Going back to my journal page I added some stamping with the leaves from the Autumn & Acorns set introducing some of the colours I had used for my stamped images. This would help draw my page together when completed . I used distress inks mowed lawn and villainous potion

Here’s my completed page with a white stitched border and sentiment from the Wordy stickers Autumn B I’m really pleased with this page and how the bright colours have worked together and as much as I love bright colours , I probably wouldn’t have use them in this way . So thanks to Bev for the inspiration and these beautiful papers

Sally CT - Autumn Artist Trading Cards

Hi There!

I am here with three simple artist trading cards to show you today. Here's how I made them.

I began by cutting 3 of the panels from the Autumn Art Journal Catalyst Collage index sheet and sticking them onto pre cut ATCs. I sponged a little brown ink around the edges of them.
Next, I stamped Mushrooms, Acorns and Pinecones in Versafine Clair Pinecone ink onto a scrap of white card and cut them out.
I used the same stamp set  and ink to add some ferns and pine branches to the ATCs.
Finally I stuck the stamped images onto the backgrounds along with a wordy sticker sentiment. I added faux stitching around the sentiment and lightly painted the added images with Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz for a bit of shimmer.
Here are the three ATCs once more.

I used:
Versafine Clair ink - I used Pinecone
