It's the weekend!!!!

Evening all!!

How are you?

Any exciting projects on the go at the moment?

We have a workshop on Monday which is Heat Embssing with the Cosmic Shimmer range of powders.  Now as with all of the CLASSES here at Bee Crafty All you need to bring with you is yourself, we provide all tools, materials, and refreshements for you to use during your class.  To book this class you can click here.  Within the class we will explore the differences between "standard" embossing powders and the rich and dazzling finishes that this semi opaque yet multi tonal powder can provide you with.  Also the way that all of it's qualities work with different depths and the UT benefits.  For those of you looking to take your heat embossing to another dimension this workshop is definately for you.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Well here we go then.

We have on order a wonderful range of stamps from a very talented and creative company who hand design their stamps.  They have been nice enough to say that we can show you some pictures of cards that have been made with the stamps that we have coming to you here at Bee Crafty.

Here we have "Two You"

And this is "Best Friends"

I think you would agree that they are wonderful examples and thank youvery much to the designers for allowing us to show you.

As I have said these stamps are on order and will be with us soon.  For any more information keep watching the blog and website!!!

So we went to the trade show....

.....and found some very nice things!!!!

We spent hours, and hours looking for the products I promised you we would.  We have some wonderful things coming your way.

I was very lucky to spend some time watching the very talented Tim Holtz demonstrating, Mum (Julie) and Bev actually said if they had nipped off without me knowing I would probably still be there!  Not wrong either, and some great techniques for us to pass on to you.

And we met some particularly sparkly people along the way!!!

Thats right it's the Glitter Girls!!!

So you can deduct fromt this that there might be a few little cheeky products coming from these very talented ladies too!!!

I'll leave you with that to think about!

Have you ever....

.......looked at your photo's and just thought where do I start?

I think a common problem can be when we spend a ot of time taking photo's and then we look at them all and its how to begin or how do I get everything into one page?

You can do several things in this instance - simply spend plenty of time picking the best picture out of the scenario or pick several and instead of doing one page create a mini book?

With one photo you can then start to pick your products that highlight colours within the photo, ribbons, flowers, buttons or whichever embellishments are best suited.  Essentially the same rules are applicable for  a mini book however what you need to take into consideration here is what kind of book you want.

You can make your own, cut 12x12 paper down to 6x6 and then make covers?

Go with a premade one like the Heart book from Twiddleybitz

For this you might need to adjust the size of your photo's

You can find this album here on our website.

As always we are always on hand for any advice or help, and by all means you can come into the shop and bring your photo's lay them out on a table and bring the products to them to see how it goes?

I'll leave you with all that to think about now.

Hmmm Snowing again....

...hopefully not for long though!!!

I shouldn't really moan if it wasn't for the snow I wouldn't be able to create layouts like this..

This was a layout that I completed in a class from a Cybercrop.  It ended up entirely different from how I'd planned - are they not the best ones though?

This photo was taken as Roxy played in the snow, the nice thing is when people ask what I used to embellish her nose - I didn't she did it was snow!!!

Aside from the papers the main ingredient here was the ink and colourings, using several different inks to create that different look on the framed part.

Well there we go I'll go and dig myself out of the snow (it's not that bad really)

A very wet Wednesday!!!

Oh my word it's not very nice out there is it!!!

But another great day for crafting, card making and scrapbooking.

We had another workshop yesterday, Beginners Rubber Stamping it was lovely and for 2 ladies who haven't been to our workshops before.  We also managed to squeeze a bit of heat embossing in at the end too.  Thats a technique that I think works very well for lots of different scenarios.

I particularly love the Cosmic Shimmer range of embossing powders, I think they give a rich colour and build up very well.  With a great range of colours also!

The colours above are just 2 of those available but you can see them all by clicking the link above.

I'm a bit excited as we are going to the Trade show on Sunday which means we can have a look at all of the new nice things that are going to be available later in the year.  I think I have mentioned before that we are hoping to bring you some of the best products we can at the best prices and to make sure that you can carry on crafting no matter your budget.

Well thats all from me for today.

Happy Valentines Day .....

.... to all of you!!!

I wonder how many of you have been spoiled rotten today?  Or even proposed to!!!

I thought I would find some quotes for you for those scrapbook pages you might be trying to create with your recent photo's!!!  I'd just like to add these aren't quotes by me - you can find them by scouring the internet - I just thought I'd find a couple for you.

Love is a game that two can play and both win.

Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.

You can't put a price tag on love, but you can on all its accessories. (thought this was funny considering our hobby)

We took deliver of a few essential items in the shop last week, foam squares some page protecters - the essentials that us as crafters use.

so we found a use for the box afterwards or should I say someone else in the shop did

This is my little darling Harry - and he loved getting a delivery as there was a box for him to play in!!!

Still 2 weeks left to get your photo's in for the bag competition!!!

she came she taught she went!!!!

And what a wonderful day it was!!!

So as you will no doubt know today was the first of a series of classes being held with MJM - the Art Tart!

Today was the Wishing House and I have to confess I was so nervous, have I forgotten something?  Is the room ready?  Will they all turn up? Have I got enough cakes?  The answer to all of the above is YES!!!!  Thankfully it was brilliant!!

The day started with a very quiet workshop looking like this

and with a few people a lot of patterened paper and a dose of the lovely Michelle we had this scene a little later

It was an absolutely wonderful day and I would like to thank everyone who made it happen and who came to play for the day.

The next class is available for booking and after the success of today places are running out fast!

Hoping you've all had a day as great as mine was.

Love is in the air!!!!

Hiya everyone!

So its nearly St Valentines day any surprises on the horizon?  Or are you just excited that it makes it only 2 days away from pancake day?

Personally I am particularly looking forward to both!

That up there is one of our Rhinestone Hearts, very sparkly and make a lovely embellishment.  Available in a few other shapes too!

Maybe stamping is more your thing?  These stamps from PaperArtsy not only give a fabulous stamped impression but will stamp well on to a variety of surfaces.

I'm also very excited as we are on countdown to the first of MJM's classes that I keep talking about!

I will most definately get you some pictures of how that goes on Saturday.

Wishing you all well

Take care

Ooooh we got tables!

yayyyyy!!!  The new tables came today!!!

So whats new with you guys?  We are in the process of making enquiries about new lines for the shop at present whilst keeping the essence of what we "do" here.

At Bee Crafty we pride ourselves on having something for everyone.  Now as you may opr may not know we are a family business and that family feel is consistantly apparent.  The samples on the walls contain our pictures, our names and our lives.  We do this because we love it and we genuinely hope that you love what we bring to you.

Some of you may know that the UK trade fair will be taking place in the next couple of weeks and we will be attending with the view to bringing you something new and innovative even if it's just new ideas (I can't imagine Mum, Bev or I not seeing something sparkly and exciting that we don't want though).

So with all that to think about I'm going to leave you there.

So I thought I would just post a short one tonight and let you know that the WS Designs templates are at present all on sale at a massive 40% off.  Now I think you would be hard pushed to disagree that this makes them absolutely great value!

You can find them all on our website by clicking here

So this was the class we did on Monday

The Ladies all produced some lovely work as always and we had great fun.

One of the other things that came out of Mondays workshop is that we will be holding a Craft, Crop and Coffee Wednesdays, and the first one to be held is Wednesday 10th Feb 10am-4pm £5 per person and as with all of our Workshops and crops this includes your hot and cold drinks and some biccies!  If you would like to book for the day click here!

It's our Princess's Birthday!!!

Now those of you that come into the shop a lot will know who Abi is!  For those of you that don't she is Bev's daughter, my niece and our mums grand-daughter.  Bee Crafty's very own rockhard fairy!

Today she celebrated her 2nd Birthday and she has had a wonderful day with her mummy and daddy!

Today me and mum spent the most part of the day making her cards - you know how it is - it's for one of the most special people in your life and all you want to do is get it perfect!  Well they were - all turned out great - now I dont have any pictures as she's only had them this evening but I absolutely will get some pictures to you!

What I will say is I used a fair bit of Hot Pink Organza ribbon and a bit of this paper

It's from the Cupcake range by Crafts House

It has a lovely pearlecent effect to it with the colours all nice and bright.

To find other papers by Crafts House just click here.

So like I said pictures to follow soon.

Hope you're all ok

Cropping time again!!!

It's that time again

Cropping Sunday at Bee Crafty, 11am-4pm Sunday 7th February.  Now most of you know the rules by now but a quick version for those of you that don't - it's just £5 for the day this includes your teas, coffee's hot chocolate and biscuits.  You also get to use the scrapping space and this allows you to do whatever projects you are working on.

One of the products I can't get enough of at the moment is the Distress Ink pads.  It was one of these which I have used for the recent workshop - Funky Edges

I used the Walnut Stain to dull down the edges of the papers once I had "roughed" them up a bit and also on the cardboard.

At just £4.90 the Distress Ink pads are value for money and have great longevity - as long as you look after them - I think this goes with any product though be it crafting or otherwise.

You can find the entire range of Distress Ink pads that we stock here on our website.
