DT Kerrie - Christmas Fete Makes with Bee Crafty Stamps

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

During the last week I was busy getting ready for Our School's Christmas Fete and I had a lot of fun getting inky with some of my Bee Crafty Yuletide Stamps and Distress Inks

I am sharing with you a sample of the cards that I made for the Fete...

For all the cards above I used some of the Gorgeous SnowFlake Stamps from the Yuletide Collection sets 'Snowflakes - Feathery', 'Snowflakes - Spikey' and 'Snowflakes'. For blue tone cards I used 'Stormy Sky', 'Broken China', 'Faded Jeans' & 'Tumbled Glass' distress inks. For the purple tone cards I used 'Seedless Preserves', 'Milled Lavendar' & 'Dusty Concord' distress inks

These cards were simple and quick to make but I really love how they turned out.

For all the cards I used the 6inch Circle Inkables Template (the inner part) which I used lowtack tape underneath to prevent slipping while inking onto smooth cardstock. I inked up the stamps and stamped randomly over the card and off of the circle template to fill up the background. Once dry I then inked the edges of the card and off the edge of the circle template to soften the backgrounds. I stamped the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from the Yuletide Wordage collection using black archival ink into the centre of each card. I finished them using colour matching flat back gems.

The Fete went really well... I made back the stall charge and a little profit on top which for my first Fete in a long time wasn't too bad at all.

DT Kerrie - 'Baby It's Cold Outside' - Beryl FASHIONette's

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

This week I am sharing with you an 8x8inch Card that could be used as a Christmas or Winter Birthday card, I was inspired to use pale shades of ink for the background and bolder for the main image.

I love to use uncommon colours for my winter makes just to be a little different... blues with browns is one of my favourite combinations

For the background I used the 'Background Text' stamp from the 'Snow Words' stamp set which I stamped using 'Wheat' Versamagic Ink, I then stamped some 'Snowflakes' from the 'Snow Flake Flurry' stamp set using 'Aspen Mist' Versamagic Ink. I love the subtle look these pale inks give.

I stamped the gorgeous 'Beryl' from the 'FASHIONettes' collection using 'London Fog' Memento Ink and then coloured her using a mixture of my coloured pencils, I chose similar but bolder colours from the background to make her stand out. I drew over her eyes and eyelashes using an archival liner pen to make them pop

For the senitment I stamped 'Baby It's Cold Outside' from the 'Snow Words' stamp set, first using Aspen Mist and then I stamped again using 'Rich Cocoa' Memento Ink offset from the first to create a shadow effect.

I created the Flourishes using some diecuts and some snowflakes that i stamped onto pearlescent card using the Aspen Mist and Wheat inks from before. I cut the snowflakes out and layered them over the diecuts, adding gems for some bling.

I really love how this card has turned out, I may just have to make a few more for the festive season

Marleen DT - even more snowflakes

Hey bloggers..

Have you guessed that Im in love with the new snowflake stamps from BeeCrafty??
Well I am lol.. And today Im sharing even more cards made with these yumy stamps..

I love christmas, and I love making christmas cards. But like many others, I send out so many cards each year that in order to have them all hand made, I have to be frugal with the supplies I use. Crafting is'nt cheap BUT with some AMAZING timeless stamps and a few supplies, you can make a mass of cards on a very small budget..

Both of these cards have been made using:
* plain white card stock
* Distress inks
* Embossing powders
* BeeCrafty Stamps. Find them HERE..
This one was made by first putting down "Wilted violet" distress ink on my card. I then took the "Dusty Concord" and stamped the single snowflakes. (leave your background now to REALLY dry or your embossing powder will stick to the whole lot)
Once REALLY dry, I then took the script stamp and inked with versamark, stamped randomly on my background and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I did the same with the "Snow" greeting.
I finished this card by making a mat with the same gold embossing powder and mounted onto my card base with foam pads.

This one is made pretty much as above. "Wild Honey" and "Rusty Hinge" distress ink.
Its hard to see here on the picture, but the whole background is stamped with the script stamp using "Rusty Hinge". (Again, leave your background now to REALLY dry before adding embossing powder.) (Distress ink can be used as an embossing ink instead of versamark)

Once dry I did my stamping with versamark. I used the BIG grungy snowflake stamp. I love this stamp. Its so versatile. You can use a section like I have here, or the whole stamp. (I have a card coming next week using the whole stamp) I added added my embossing powder and heat set it.
I did the same with the greeting.
And as the card above, I made a mat using the embossing powder also before mounting onto my card blank with foam.

So as you can see. 2 VERY easy cards, using not a lot of supplies. They dont take too long to make either and could be made in bulk using different colours.

And that is it from me for today. I hope you like my creations.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Marleen DT - More snow flakes....

Morning bloggers..
Following on from last weeks post, using the brand new polymer clear stamps from BeeCrafty, I've had another play with the stamps..
The designs I made for the Hochanda shows, I really loved, so I decided to keep the same style while making cards for my own christmas stock pile..

Find the yummy scrummy stamps HERE..

Both cards have been made by first stamping the snowflake border with versamark and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
After that I used distress ink, 3 different colours of the same family, to colour my background.
Just take a papertowel or a cloth and wipe over the card to remove any ink from the embossing.

I continued by die cutting a circle and heat emboss that, also with the silver embossing powder.
I stamped my greeting and coloured it with one of the colours I used for the background.

Before putting it all together, I decided to layer my card. Normally I mat on to black, but I decided to repeat the silver embossing. I just cut my at to size and heat emboss the edges with the same silver as on the card.

I then layered all my pieces up and cut my circle to sit off the side of the card. I rolled up some twine and stuck under my greeting (I used glue gel to hold the twine in place) and voila.. all done..

Its a very simple card, but I personlly think it looks stricking and can be done in all colour combinations.

And that is it from me for today. I hope you like my creations.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Kerrie DT - Yuletide - MDF Tag!!!!

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Yes!!!! more Christmas Makes! - I adore Christmas and all the sparkle and fun so I always make a start on Christmas makes during the Summer Holidays and then continute all through Autumn and right up until the Big Day!! love love love

Over the Weekend 'Our Bev' was over at Alexandra Palace for the Stamping & Scrapbooking Show with her massive stand full of Bee Crafty Goodies loads of Stamps and Yumminess including... Brand New MDF loads of it which was a Big Hit and sold out!!!!

I so wish I could have gone this year but unfortunately my Hubby was working (darn!! I cant drive so I lucked out)

This Week I have created a Christmassy Tag using one of the Lush MDF Tags! Love!!!!

I had a lot of fun creating this tag with loads of Bee Crafty Lushness!!

The products I used that you can get from the lovely Bee Crafty online shop are...

Bee Crafty - Yuletide Snowflakes - Stamp Set
Bee Crafty - Dots - Inkables Template
Bee Crafty - Inspired by DaVinci Script - Stamp
Colourcraft - Brusho's - sea green, ost blue, ultramarine & turquoise

I also used White Gesso, and Embossing Powders (opaque white, sparkling snow & chunky silver) from my own crafty stash

First I painted over the whole tag using white gesso, once dry I then sprayed the front using a water spritzer and then tapped the Brusho's over the whole tag removing the excess water with kitchen roll. I then dabbed white gesso through the Inkables Template using a dry stencil brush over one corner. I random stamped the Script Stamp using white ink over the opposite corner. Once dry I then stamped the 2 Snowflakes repeatedly over around the edges of the tag using a clear embossing ink, then used the 3 different embossing powders alternately and heating with my Heat Tool

(I have pierced holes in the tops of my Brusho's so i can use them like salt shakers)

I love how the Sparkling Snow embossing Powder looks on the snowflakes

I ran the clear embossing ink over the tag edges and dipped into the chunky silver embossing powder, which once heated made the edges look like metal

I really love how this tag has turned out - I also love how the colours worked - I am a bit obsessed with blue toned christmas makes this year

DT Kerrie - Christmas in August

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Now that my Children's Birthday's are done its my tradition to begin my prep for Christmas which includes beginning my shopping plans for their gifts but also the start of my Christmas Cards so today I am sharing one of these new makes for the Festive Season...

I have used some of the Bee Crafty Stamps from the 'Yuletide' Collection

I created a background using the 'Yuletide' - Snowflakes' set along with light and dark blue chalk inks for some of the flakes and then clear embossing ink with a mixture of blue, silver pearl and tinsel white embossing powders which I then heated using a heat toolto create some texture, shine and sparkle.

I then stamped the 'Yuletide' - Believe' large sentiment using blue chalky ink which I sprinkled a little of the tinsel white embossing powder over. I trimmed the seniment, inked the edges by running a clear embossing ink pad accross them, I then dipped into tinsel while embossing powder to add sparkle. I matted the sentiment onto blue cardstock.

To finish my card I matted the background I created onto the same blue cardstock as the sentiment and attached this to a 7x7 card blank. I fixed the Sentiment to the card front using foam tape at a jaunty angle.

Next I repeat stamped the Snowflakes onto offcuts of cardstock in the same inks as before adding ebossing powders including some clear this time for the darker blue. I fussy cut them, used an embossing tool on the reverse of them to create dimention. I then arranged them at the corners of the sentiment layering them up a bit and adding gems to the centres. I added some extra gems to opposite corners of the card to finish

DT Kerrie - Christmas Wordage 'Believe' - Bee Crafty

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

I had a couple of weeks off due to being ill and half term with my 4 Kiddies taking me away from my Desk for far too long - but today I am back to where I love to be - in my Korner creating pretties

I have really gotten into making my Christmas Cards and most of those have been non-traditional colours - I love to mix it up a bit - this time I chose soft pink, brown and rich gold

The Bee Crafty products I have used are...

And - Distress Inks 'Spun Sugar', 'Tattered Rose' and 'Victorian Velvet' (all stocked on the Bee Crafty Webshop

I chose a 7x7 White Cardblank, and added some Matt & Layering using some pearlescent cardstock from my stash, the gold piece I used an embossing folder to create a swirly background.

With a small piece of Linen Cardstock I inked through the Star Template using Distress Inks 'Spun Sugar', 'Tattered Rose' and 'Victorian Velvet' to create the an ombre effect (lighter in the middle and darkening towards the edges)

I stamped The 'Believe' accross the Star at a jaunty angle using brown ink, the 'Splatter Swirl' border around the edge of the Linen Cardstock and then stamped the 'Snowflakes' into opposite corners using the brown ink and 'Victorian Velvet' distress ink.

I ran my embossing ink over the edges of the Linen Cardstock and dipped these edges into gold embossing powder then heated with my 'Heat Gun' (available from Bee Crafty's Webshop) to melt the powder and create the smooth gold finish. I also used my Embossing Ink Pen to draw a shadow around the 'Believe' word then heat embossed this in Gold too.

I hope you like my card today. I really do like how it turned out.

Kerrie DT - 'Believe' - Black, White & Silver

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty's Blog

For this week's Project I could not resisit using my New Stamp 'Believe' from the Yuletide Collection, it's such a big big word stamp and I love it

I really fancied a change this week so I grabbed my box of embossing powders and chose a silver and a black to use - I then raided my offcuts box again for some large pieces of Black, Silver, White Pearl and Silver Mirror Cardstock - I also grabbed a 7x7 Cardblank such a good size to use its become a fave of mine

To start I trimmed a piece of Silver Mirror card to a few mm smaller than the 7x7 cardblank, then a piece of White Pearl card a few mm smaller than the Silver Mirror card. I fixed them centred on the card front. I then chose a piece of Black Textured card and a piece of Music Score backing paper, these were both a little small for the card front but I got around that by cutting them to meet in the centre of the card front leaving a 6mm border on the White Pearl but before fixing these layers down I inked the edges of the music score using Black Soot Distress Ink, I randomly stamped the smaller Snowflake from the 'Yuletide - Snowflakes' stamp set using clear embossing ink which I then covered with Silver Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and heated using my trusty old Heat Gun. I fixed both these layers onto the cardfront being careful to make sure they were straight, I used a wet adhesive so I had wiggle time.

I stamped the 'Yuletide - Believe' stamp onto a piece of plain black cardstock (which i had already trimmed to the size I wanted which I had measured and marked by eye and trimmed using a guilotine) again using clear embossing ink, tipped the silver embossing poweder over, tapped off the excess and heated using my Heat Gun, I then ran the clear embossing ink pad around the edge of the black card which I then dipped into the silver embossing powder, when i heated this it created a pretty frame. A pieve of White Pearl cardstock trimmed to size and used as a matt to the Believe topper I've created added some depth I inked that pearl white piece using the Black Soot Distress Ink and fixed to the card using foam tape.

I wanted to add some extra detail so I made the cute Snowflake embellishments by stamping the Large Snowflake from the 'Youtide - Snowflakes' set using clear embossing ink, tipping over some black embossing powder and heating, once cooled I fussy cut them, curved them using a bone folder and attached at the corners of the Believe topper using my Hot Glue Gun.

I really like how this card turned out, it was nice to get my older craft supplies out for a change and reminded me that I dont always need to have the next new thing I can use my old stuff and make pretty things
