Mirror Mirror...

At the crop this week Pauline Butcher was telling Bev all about Inchies, Twinchies, Munchies (actually made that up) but the other two are real and I believe there are a few others. Little bits of artwork 1" x 1" and 1.5 x 1.5 so though I might have a play myself and this is what I came up with...

I'm really happy with it. A cheapy wooden mirror from a boot sale (courtesy of Bev) and all I've done is ink it up with Distress Inks, I tried using the Dylusions but they just sat on top of the wood so should you want to use them best to give your wood a right good sanding down first.
Now to the Inchies. Mine are just 1" squares of chipboard and this time I was able to blitz them with my Dylusions in matching colours to the mirror frame, wafting the different colours diagonally so they blended with no harsh edges. Once they were dry I stamped them with the Inspired by Da Vinci stamp 'Script'.
Then got my fine liner pen out and doodled some leave's across the top corner highlighted them with a white pen and gave them a bit of extra colour with distress ink.
(pity it doesn't show up to well)
Finally stamped the BEAUtanicals Teasels stamp at the bottom...

Really hope you like it...

p:s there is a white card on the mirror as when I took the first picture all
I could see was me, so I had to save you from that trauma...

BRAND NEW Inkables Templates & Mask

Good Afternoon Crafters,

I will be bringing you some more posts about the trade show but today I wanted to show you something really good

4 BRAND NEW Inkables

Inkables are designed at Bee Crafty and made in the UK from High Quality Acrylic.

If you haven't had a go with Inkables yet you are in for a treat as they are inkable, spritzable, embossable and are great for using gesso and mediums to create textured effects on  your projects.

I love using all sorts of products with my Inkables including Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads, which create quite a neat effect, Tim Holtz Distress Stains, which are bit more blotty, Dylusions Sprays by Dyan Reaveley (coming soon), for a rich colour but misted effect and chalks and pastels, if I'm looking for something a little softer.

I use them for lots of different projects too.
For example on Cards I love to ink up and then put through my big shot using my tan mat, they emboss and ink up card to create stunning backgrounds.
On scrapbook pages I ink though on 12x12 papers to create my own new individual backgrounds
For art journalling I like layering up colours and ghosting using my water spritzer or using gesso to create dimension.

The collection now has 16 great designs and the fabulous thing is we design here at Bee Crafty so if you think there is a design we should be making you can let us know.

Thanks All.

Bev x
