DT Kerrie - Fashionette's on Fabric - Bee Crafty

Hiya and Welcome to the Bee Crafty Blog

Today I am sharing with you one of my recent makes for the Bee Crafty Show's on HOCHANDA

Bee Crafty Products used...

Fashionette's 'Vera' - polymer stamp
Fabulous Flowers 'Star Flowers' - polymer stamp

This make is something a little different to show that the Bee Crafty Polymer Stamps are not only for paper crafting

I used my sewing machine to create a fully lined Tote Bag, I used some pretty floral fabric and and white fabric.

I stitched a piece of pink dotty fabric onto the centre of the bag.

I stamped 'Vera' onto printable canvas fabric (which I had pre-trimmed to fit) using black Archical Ink. I used fabric paints to colour 'Vera', mixing and repainting to create layers and highlights. Once dry I ironed over the painted image using a travel iron and a piece of scrap fabric to fix the paint.

I stamped the 'Beautiful Things' sentiment stamp at one corner using archival ink and painted 'Julie-Ann' by hand with a fine paint brush and black paint. I stitched this panel to the front of the bag into the centre of the dotted fabric... I used a loose running stitch on my sewing machine but free stitching and over lapping for texture.

Next I picked out some fabric flowers in colours to match nicely with the painted image and also with the floral fabric. I stitched them onto the bag front at the corners of the image using free motion stitching just in the centre's, I layered a few up, I added some flowers that I had stamped onto fabric scraps using archival ink which I had fussy cut out.

To finish I added some flat back gems into the flower centres and opposite corners of the the painted panel using Ranger Glossy Accents glue

DT Kerrie - Vera - Be Yourself

Happy Monday everyone - I'm back today with another make from me using some Gorgeous Bee Crafty Stamps

One of my Faves ever is 'Vera' from the FASHIONettes Collection - today I have teamed her up with one of my fave colours 'Aqua' xx

I stamped 'Vera' onto smooth caardstock using light grey ink and coloured her using my fave alcohol markers. Once coloured I drew back over her eyes and lashes using a black archival ink liner pen (a bit of a trade mark of mine

I stamped the 'Star Flowers' from the Fabulous Flowers collection 7 times and coloured in the larger and medium flowers using the same aqua coloured markers from before. I added a little sparkle using a glittery gel pen around some of the edges and centres. Once dry I cut them all out, I then embossed them from the back on a moulding mat using a round embossing tool. Next I stamped the Larger Branch from the 'Beautanicals - Branches' set onto offcuts of cardstock using light grey and dark aqua inks which I then trimmed round them to create some foliage for the flowers.

To make up my Card I used a 7x7 Cardblank which I then trimmed some Aqua mirror board, textured mint cardstock and some aqua spotted backing paper and layered these onto the card front using multi purpose glue. I trimmed the 'Vera' Image and mat & layered using offcuts of the mirror board and mint cardstock from before, I also punched a strip of mirror board using a border punch which I glued accross the card front before mounting the Image topper onto it using foam tape.

Using a Glue Gun I attached the flowers and foliage at opposite corners of the image layering them up. I added gems into the flower centres, onto Vera's earrings and into two corners of the card front. To finish the card I stamped the 'WORDage Be Yourself' sentiment onto scrap cardstock, I trimmed the larger word away from the rest of the sentiment, mat & layered both sections and fixed to the cardfront at opposite corners using a glue gun.

Thank You so much for visiting my post today - please come back to the Bee Crafty Blog again soon fo rmore gorgeous makes from the Talented Design Team

Marleen DT - Vera

Hey blogger friends..

Today Im sharing my wednesday inspiration for

For today I've used the stamp called "Vera" from the Fashionettes series.
You can find her and all the other fantastic stamps, in the STORE.

My back ground has been made on water colour card stock and distress inks.
The little pink squares was made by a die (it was the leftovers from a frame die) just glued on one by one.
Vera is coloured with promarkers and cut with a circle die.
PLEASE NOTE: Vera normally come with legs lol.. I just cut them off on this card lol)
The flowers and the sentiment are from my stash.

And that is all from me for today.

DT Kerrie - Planner 'Dreams' - Vera

Hiya and welcome to my weekly post for Bee Crafty - I have moved to the Saturday Spot just for this week

I have mixed up my 2 favourite things for my project this week, 'Colouring and Planner's' and made a page marker for my A5 Planner using one of the Fashionette's 'Vera' I love this cute girly stamp

I stamped her onto super smooth cardstock and coloured her using my alcohol markers to match the pretty cardstock papers I chose to make the page marker with

I stamped the 'Dreams Come True' WORDage stamp using brown ink, inked the edges using 'Dusty Concord' distress ink and matted onto purple mirror board

The page marker needed to be completely flat to fit in my planner so I cut the folower embellishments from another piece of cardstock paper in the same pad as the other papers I used, I free hand drew the stems and leaves. I inked all the papers using distress inks 'Dusty Concord' and 'Pumice Stone' - I fussy cut the stamped image then fixed all the pieces together

I marked and punched the ring binder holes and put the page marker into my Planner - I really like how it turned out

Thank you so much for visiting today - I will be back Friday but please do visit again on Sunday and Wednesday where there will be more gorgeous projects from the talented Design Team

Marleen DT - Vera & Christmas

Good morning blogger friends..

Time for another post from me for

Having been on the Bee Crafty DT for a while now, Im starting to have a good collection of Bee Crafty Stamps. But like many other crafters, I tend to get something new and then forget about the "old". And I really find that with christmas stash. We get some new christmas stash, but as soon as its all over, we pack it away and forget al about it. Next christmas we do it all over again until our shelves and boxes are overflowing..

Ok to get to the point... I was looking through my Bee Craft stamp box and came across the christmas stamps, and as I really love them, I thought Id have a play but without making a christmas project..

And that is how my tag came together for today.

For this tag I used:
Vera from the FASHIOetttes Collection
You can find these and all the other yummy stamps in the
STORE...

Here is what Ive made:

For this tag (made from water colour card stock)  I started by stamping my christmas trees in black staz-on. I stamped them of the side so the top of the trees aren't on the tag at all. I then smothered my tag with distress stains and pads.  I used a stencil and pearl texture paste to make the bubbles.
Vera was stamped and coloured with Promarkers, cut out and added with glue gel to add some more dimention. My tag is finished off with a couple of hearts and a couple of beads.

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my wee tag.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

DT Kerrie - FASHIONettes 'Vera'

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday post her at Bee Crafty Stamps

I made myself a promise this New Year that I would make use of as much of my crafty stash as I could without spending too much on New - well I've still been tempted with a few new things like magazines and a new case for my Copic Markers but I have also got out some old favourite things like Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder

I stamped FASHIONettes 'Vera' using Archival Ink and then made a mask of her using Eclipse Tape (another oldie but goodie) I covered the stamped image using the mask and then rough stamped the 'Backdrop - Bubble Wrap Positive' stamp over, I removed the mask which left her uninked. I then coloured her using some of my Pencils

The Background Paper I created using BEAUtanicals 'Cow Parsley' & 'Branches' stamps with Versamark and Clear Embossing powder which I heated with a heat gun to create a resist, I then inked over using distress inks but the stamped areas stayed white and raised. I then stamped a smaller stamp around using distress ink to add a different texture

I also stamped the larger leaf stamp onto cardstock and cut out to created the leaves for my floral embellishment.

I hope you like the softer artsy look I created this week and I do hope you will visit the blog again soon there are different posts each day from different team members

Marleen DT, Vera - colouring tutorial

Morning blogger friends.

Its time for my weekly slot.

This week I dont have a finished project to share but instead Ive made a little colouring tutorial using the image called "Vera".
You can find her in the STORE with all the other amazing stamps.

Ive used Promarkers to colour in Vera.

*****************

I tend to start with the hair when colouring in. I think I do this as I find it the hardest to colour so if I make a mistake and need to start over, I havent spent time colouring in the rest.

For the hair Ive used the following colours.
Tulip Yellow
Raw sienna
Gold
Start by colour all the hair in Tulip Yellow.
Then comes what I find the hardest part.. The darkest shade. Ive used Raw sienna.
I add a little colour where I know the shades will fall. ie her shoulderand at the back of her neck.
To be honest, this ismage isnt too hard to colour as at the top of her hair, there are already lines to follow and that is where I added the dark colour.
Next i go in with a middle colour. Gold.
I use the middle colour to blend the lightest and darkest colour together. I make the middle colour an extention of the dark colour. Meaning I go over where the dark colour is but extend the middle colour a bit further then the dark colour.
Finish the hair with another coat of the lightest colour, Tulip yellow.

************

Ok next is the skin. The thing I find the hardest after the hair.
I admit I tend to stick to the same colour tones everytime, but its something Im trying to get better at.

For the skin Ive used:
Ivory
Blush
Vanilla
Start by colouring ALL the skin (face, arms & legs) in with Ivory
Then just like with the hair, I go in with my darkest colour, Vanilla.
In this case I simply just followed the outline of the face.
The arms and legs, I followed the line of the inside of both the arms and legs.
Then its time for the medium colour, Blush.
Just as before I simply followe the line of the dark colour with the medium colour to blend.
Then dont forget to finish with a coat of your lightes colour, Ivory over all the skin.
Then its time to finish the face with a few details.
I added a few dots with the fine nip of "Rose pink" to Vera's cheeks to give them a bit more life.

Her eyes, I used the "Cobalt Blue" and just followed the outline of her iris' and went over with the blender pen to soften the line a bit.

Last in her face, her earings. I used the "Rose pink" again.
I coloured the whole earing in and then used my blender to remove a little of the colour to create the spots where the light hits. Ive done the same on her bracelet.

Voila, face and skin is done..

**************

Ok last, the dress..
Ive only used 2 colours for the dress as I wanted it quite light.
Ive used
Pink Mittens
Rose Pink.
Colour the full dress in with the Pink mittens.
Then follow the out line of the dress and the shaddow lines with the Rose Pink.
Finish the dress with a coat of Pink mittens.
Her belt and her shoes I wanted to stay white. Well in order to make thing look white but with life in them, you need your light grey colours.
I used the "warm grey 1" with the normal nip to follow the lowest line of the belt. I then took my "warm grey 2" and used the fine nip and followed the same line (as close to the line as possible)
Finish of with a coat of the blender pen.
I did the same with the dots on her dress.

************

Ok nearly there now.. 1 last thing..
To give the image a bit of debth you need to outline your image.
The easist way to give your image debth is to simply take your "warm grey 1" and just follow the line of the image. I noramlly run over the line with the blender pen after but havent done it here as it would be hard to see on the picture.

Here is the finished result.

I hope you found this picture tutorial helpful.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Here is what Ive made for today:
A colourful card this time using "Vera" 3 times..
I printed on watercolour card and coloured with distress markers.

For the yellow Vera, I used "Squeezed Lemon" distress marker.
My Orange Vera is coloured with "Spiced Marmalade" distress marker.

And my red Vera is coloured with "Fired Brick " distress marker.

My back ground is made with the same 3 coloures as Vera, Ive simply just blended them a bit more.
The photo strip in the back ground, is made using a mask and "Walnut stain" distress ink.

And that is all from me for today.
