Emily DT - Star Flowers

Hi everyone,

Before Christmas Marleen made some cards using kraft card and white embossing powder and I absolutely loved them! So I decided to have a go at making one of my own.

Here is the card I've made this week

I started with a piece of kraft card and my Star Flowers stamp. I embossed it in white using versamark. I coloured the flowers in lightly with a white pencil.

I stamped and embossed a small sentiment on a small piece of card and mounted this and the large piece onto white card.

I mounted the whole thing onto a kraft card blank and finished it with a few pearl embellishments.

I was very pleased with how it turned out and I hope you like it too!!

Emily DT - Memories

Hi everyone, hope you're having a good week!

My card this week is featuring a couple of the newer stamps.
Here is the card...

I started by cutting a cardboard circle mask and taping it down with masking tape. I sprayed the circle with alcohol inks. Once it was dry I stamped the Memories sentiment stamp in the middle.

I stamped the butterfly on a scrap of inked card twice and cut them out. I decided where I wanted them to go and stamped them onto the front of my card. I then stuck the cut out ones on top.

This way it gives them the three dimensional look and you don't have to worry about cutting out the fiddly bits!

I hope you like the card!

Kerrie DT - Star Flowers - Wake Wonderful

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

I have been struggling for the last few weeks to get making again after slowing down over the festive period... so this called for some much needed Inkiness and my lovely Bee Crafty Stamps

Today's colour theme is Pink, Brown & Gold I loved playing with my stencils, embossing powders and distress inks and I really hoped that this was the push I needed to get back to crafting - messy inky fun!! so of course it has helped xx

Here is my project for today using the lovely 'Fabulous Flowers -Star Flowers' and 'WORDage - Wake Wonderful'

I trimmed down a piece of white pearlised cardstock to ink onto. I first inked the whole piece using 'Abandoned Coral' distress ink, I used a heat gun to speed up the drying process. I inked around the edges again to bring in more colour. I then used one of Bev's brilliant techniques of laying a stencil over my work, spraying with water and then taking off the excess with tissue this added a lovely textured look into the coral background. I think inked through the stencil using 'Tea Dye' distress ink, lightly in some areas and darker in others. I then inked the edges using 'Tea Dye' and then 'Walnut Stain' distress inks to add some depth to the colours.

Using embossing ink I stamped the 'Star Flowers' into the corners but off the page as I wanted them to peek out a bit from the corners, I also stamped the edges using just the leafy swirl part of the stamp. I tipped gold embossing powder over the inked areas and then tapped off the excess, where the distress ink was a little wet still a dusting of embossing powder clung to it... a happy accident really though as I think it looks really pretty like that. I heated the powder using my White Heat Gun until it was all melted and shiney.

I stamped the 'Wake Wonderful' WORDage stamp onto the centre of the page using brown dye ink. I matted this inked up page onto some brown pearlescent cardstock from my stash and then mounted onto a 7x7 cardblank. I finished the card with some Brown and Gold Ribbons and some Brown Gems... I didnt have any brown so I coloured in a few plain white gems using an Alcohol Marker.

Emily DT - Dandelion

Hi everyone, hope you are having a good week!
Recently we have been spoilt at Bee Crafty by all the gorgeous new stamps and I felt bad that I've been neglecting all my original Bee Crafty stamps! So this week I decided to stay away from all of my new ones and pull out a couple that haven't seen the light of day for a while.

I chose my original favourite to be the main feature, the dandelion.

Here is the card I have made...

Whenever I make a card I find myself automatically reaching for my black ink and black card to matt with. So for this card I decided to stay away from black! I die cut a circle to use as a mask and using distress inks and an ink applicator I coloured the circle. The colours used were Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron and Wilted Violet.

I waited for it to dry thoroughly then stamped the dandelion with Versamark and heat embossed it in white,
I used a coordinating green card from my stash to matt the card and left it longer at the bottom when I trimmed it. I then added some pink ribbon to finish it off.

The whole thing was mounted onto a 6x6 inch card blank.

I hope you like the fresh Spring colours as much as I do!!

Marleen DT - Memories

Hello Everyone
And Happy New year to you all.

My first post in 2016 and this one is for my regular wednesday spot for
For today I've used the stamps called "Wordage - The best thing about memories" and
"Fabulous Flowers - Posy"
You can find them in the STORE with all the other goodies.

This is the first bit of crafting I have done since before christmas. My mojo went on holiday as the festive season set in and is only just starting to come back to work. So I decided to do something simple yet stylish for this week.
This card is simply stamping and embossing powders.
I stamped and embossed the black word stamp first, and then did the flowers around after.
I finished by matting onto black cardstock..

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Making new memories.

Good morning bloggers, thank crunchie it's the weekend! The first week back is always a killer but I have survived and I'm really looking forward to getting into the craft room.

I'm here this week to share with you some more of Bee Crafty's lovely stamps. I just love to use butterflies when making cards and when Bee Crafty recently released some of the fluttering fancies I was overjoyed.

For this project I used:

Butterflies set #4

Wordage The best thing about making memories

Distress inks

Embossing powder

Liquid pearls

I started off by stamping my butterflies with watermark ink. I wanted the parts of the butterflies that lie within the colour band to appear white and the parts that were outside to be coloured so I carefully applied my embossing powder.

I then applied my distress inks and blended my colours together. The sentiment was stamped with blackink and then heat embossed with clear ep.

Finally some of my favourite pearly dots to ice my card.

Well I hope that your first week of the new year has been a good one? Here's to making lots of crafty memories for 2016.

Crafty hugs,

Emily DT - Fabulous Flowers

Hi everyone,
Well we're just about back to normal here after the Christmas break and I'm slowly getting back into a routine!
I haven't had a lot of time for crafting the last couple of weeks, so to disappear into my craft room for an hour to make this card was a small luxury!

I have used the Fabulous Flowers Corner stamp this week, along with the Live Laugh Dream sentiment.

Here is the card...

I started by stamping the corner twice on my card and twice more onto scrap card. I coloured them in using distress markers and cut out the two large flowers from the scrap pieces. These were stuck onto the card using cosmic shimmer.

A small gem in the middle of each large flower finishes them off nicely.

I stamped the sentiment into the middle and mounted it onto black card.

I hope you like the card and I'll see you next week!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! This is my first blog of the new year and today I am sharing with you another make using Bee Crafty's new flower stamps.

To make this card I used:

Flower corner stamp

Tim Holtz distress spray

Inkables template

Holographic embossing powder

Bleach

Distress inks

I sprayed my distress sprays onto the card and dried. With some water I spritzed through the inkables template and dried once more. I used some bleach and a cotton bud to make my polka dots, I love the way the bleach reacts with the ink and alters the colour.

With the flower corner stamp I stamped using watermark ink and embossed with holographic embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped with black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

To enhance the flowers with my distress ink tool I blended seedless preserves around the edge of the card.

Thank you for stopping by today. Unfortunately there is a small technical problem today and I havent been able to link any of the products you can visit Bee Crafty by visiting beecraft.net

Happy new year crafters. Lets hope it's a fabulous one!

Emily DT - Happy New Year!!

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!
I started my Bee Crafty Design Team journey in 2015 and so I thought I would welcome the New Year by looking back at some of my projects so far.

The first of my favourites (and there's a few!) is this card

I adore the dandelion stamp and this card uses my favourite colours.

Next on the list is this card

This was one of my earlier cards for the blog and was my first attempt at something a bit 'grungy'. It's in colours I wouldn't normally choose and I loved how it turned out.

The next one is this beautiful card. I wanted to have a go at mixed media and this is what I came up with. I liked the use of limited colour and the flowers I made to go on it.

This card is so simple but I love how it turned out. I had a go at 'tangling' using the Love stencil and I will be making more of these for Valentine's Day!

I hope you have enjoyed my cards of 2015 and I look forward to 2016 and everything it brings!
