Marleen DT - Ghetto Blaster XL

Hey Bloggers..

Time for my weekly spot for

Ive had another play with a "Inspired by Banksy XL" stamp.
I used the "Ghetto Blaster"
Find the new "Inspired by Banksy XL" stamps HERE.

I cant take credit for this background. A FB friend of mine had made a card with a background like this and she gave me the link to the original  post. Find it Here.
After making my background I decided that a crisp black image and sentiment and a black mat would finish my card perfectly. I simply stamped my image and my sentiment with Versamark and used black embossing powder to give it the crispness.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Balloon Girl Wall Hanging

Morning, Today I am sharing a project I made with the New Banksy XL stamps that Bev launched on Hochanda recently. The show was repeated yesterday, so it will still be available on catch via their website. It's a great show full of inspiration and fantastic samples from the Design Team.

To begin with I painted my board with white gesso, then placed a very large Moon/sun mask in the sky.

Next I took the balloon girl stamp and using versamark ink I stamped her and then used white embossing powder. I wanted to layer her up later to give more dimension.

I then removed the moon mask and stamped the balloon part with black archival ink.

I stamped the little 'Hope' girl using the same white embossing powder, then stamped her on some copier paper to act as a mask. Once she was in place I placed a wall mask over the top.

I filled between the mask with sand texture paste, staggering the wall so it wasn't uniform.

I replaced all of the masks to add colour and clouds to the sky using Shaded Lilac and Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I removed the sun mask and coloured it using Scattered Straw and a little Wild Honey. I coloured the brickwork using a mixture of Gathered Twigs and Hickory Smoke.

I used the Friendship stamp, stamped onto super smooth card and distressed around the edges with Faded Jeans.

Next I stamped the balloon girl in black Archival and the little girl in Cobalt Archival. I then cut them out and decoupaged onto the piece. This added more dimension and perspective to the project, I used 3D glue gel to secure the stamped images.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed the step by step and the project I have shared today. I really hope you will join me again next time. Take care xx

DT Kerrie - Vera - Be Yourself

Happy Monday everyone - I'm back today with another make from me using some Gorgeous Bee Crafty Stamps

One of my Faves ever is 'Vera' from the FASHIONettes Collection - today I have teamed her up with one of my fave colours 'Aqua' xx

I stamped 'Vera' onto smooth caardstock using light grey ink and coloured her using my fave alcohol markers. Once coloured I drew back over her eyes and lashes using a black archival ink liner pen (a bit of a trade mark of mine

I stamped the 'Star Flowers' from the Fabulous Flowers collection 7 times and coloured in the larger and medium flowers using the same aqua coloured markers from before. I added a little sparkle using a glittery gel pen around some of the edges and centres. Once dry I cut them all out, I then embossed them from the back on a moulding mat using a round embossing tool. Next I stamped the Larger Branch from the 'Beautanicals - Branches' set onto offcuts of cardstock using light grey and dark aqua inks which I then trimmed round them to create some foliage for the flowers.

To make up my Card I used a 7x7 Cardblank which I then trimmed some Aqua mirror board, textured mint cardstock and some aqua spotted backing paper and layered these onto the card front using multi purpose glue. I trimmed the 'Vera' Image and mat & layered using offcuts of the mirror board and mint cardstock from before, I also punched a strip of mirror board using a border punch which I glued accross the card front before mounting the Image topper onto it using foam tape.

Using a Glue Gun I attached the flowers and foliage at opposite corners of the image layering them up. I added gems into the flower centres, onto Vera's earrings and into two corners of the card front. To finish the card I stamped the 'WORDage Be Yourself' sentiment onto scrap cardstock, I trimmed the larger word away from the rest of the sentiment, mat & layered both sections and fixed to the cardfront at opposite corners using a glue gun.

Thank You so much for visiting my post today - please come back to the Bee Crafty Blog again soon fo rmore gorgeous makes from the Talented Design Team

Barbara DT - More Hochanda Samples.....

Morning everyone, bit late today with my post, so won't waffle on......we're actually moving stuff back into our new kitchen today after SIX weeks of living in 'limbo', so I'm a bit excited!
Anyway, just wanted to show a couple more cards I did as samples for the recent Hochanda shows. Hope you managed to get some of the new Banksy XL stamps, they will come in very handy, I'm sure.
Two completely different styles for these......on this card I've heat embossed Hope in black & the balloon in red, then cut them out and adhered to 4 layers of white linen card.
Find Hope & balloon HERE ....and the sentiment HERE
This card started with a background made from Distress Stain, swiped across white cardstock.....I then stamped the Flower Riot and sentiment stamps with white embossing powder and heat embossed.
I added a bit of colour to the flowers, and inked through the brick inkable to give another layer to the background.
Then all I had to do was cut a white frame and mount onto a balck mat.
Find Flower Riot HERE
Sentiment HERE
 Inkable HERE
Hope you like what I did with these fab stamps.....keep an eye out for more samples coming over the next few days.
Happy weekend

Emily DT - Hope XL

Hi everyone,

By now most of you will have seen the new Banksy XL stamps and personally I think they're wonderful! They do not replace the smaller Banksy stamps, which have their own extensive list of uses, but the XL ones are fabulous for larger cards, canvasses, scrapbooking and all sorts of other lovely things. They can also be used in conjunction with the smaller ones so the possibilities are endless!

I have used one for my DT project this week, and created an 8x8 card using the XL Hope stamp.

Here is the card I have made this week...

I started with some white card and coloured it using acrylic paints. I blended them as I worked down the page but purposely left brush marks.

Once it was thoroughly dry I stamped the XL Hope and my sentiment and heat embossed them in white. I then did the same with the balloon but left it off the page.

I stamped and embossed the balloon in clear on some white card and cut it out. I stuck it on using foam tape to add some dimension.

I mounted it onto white and green card and then onto a card blank.

I adore how it turned out and I hope you do too.

See you next week for some more inspiration!

Emily x

Marleen DT - Banksy XL - Hochanda samples

Hello Bloggers

For today I want to share the samples I made for the BeeCrafty show on Hochanda, yesterday.
Did you catch the shows? Our Bev was fab as always. Great demo's and always so lively and fun.

If you missed the shows, catch them on "catch up" over on Hochanda and all the stamps will also be in the BeeCrafty STORE with all the other yummy goodies.
Find the new "Inspired by Banksy XL" stamps HERE.

Here are all my samples:
I started with a green sheet of cardstock. I stamped my Ghetto Rat and embossed with black embossing powder. I then cut up, Yep CUT up my "friendship" stamp to isolate the "friends" and stamped repeatedly and embossed with different colours of embossing powders.
I finished by adding the brick stencil over and added a bit of distress ink.
The picture dont really do this card justice. The card is actually high gloss as I covered the whole  area around the "Flower Riot" boy with clear embossing powder.
This card is made on linnen textured card so it also have loads of texture even though its flat.
This is also the reason that my boy aint more solid in colour. The texture makes it more diffecult to get a solid stamp and this was one of my first attemts on linnen card. If I had wanted a more solid image, I would just have restamped him. The stamps are all clear polymer so very easy to see through. However I decided to keep him "faded" as it really matched the sentiment. I did however outline my boy woth a black marker just to make him "pop" more.
No magic tricks here. Just loads of diftress ink on linnen card, stamped in black, water splashes and rounded corners.
This one is the same as above really. Only difference is, that I stamped "hope" on a seperate piece of card and kept the distress ink lighter (same colours as background)
I stamped the ballon seperate also and embossed it with black embossing powder.
On this one I decided I wanted to try something different. I love black on white, but decided to do white on black instead. I just stamped "Hope" and my sentiment on to black card and heat embossed with white, cut it to fit my card blank and made the silver strip but cutting the strip from scrap card and embossing it with silver. The balloon I stamped and added black embossing powder bar to the bottom of the string which I embossed with white.

Oh the glitter came out for these next 2. I DO love the effect of glitter but by god, it makes a mess.. No matter how careful you are lol..
This one was made by adding double sided sticky sheet onto my cardstock. I measured it to size first. I then stuck on the black strips of card and covered the rest in glitter. The trick is to burnish the glitter really well. that will stop too much from falling off in the post.
The stars are diecut and I stamped and coloured my "Ghetto blaster boy" with distress ink.
This one is made similar to above. Only difference is that I stamped and inked my background first and then added clear glitter. My "Balloon girl" is embossed with black embossing powder.
Very simple.. Lots of distress ink, stamping and water splashes.
These stamps are so big they can carry a larger card alone.
Very simple again. Distress ink, stamping & water splashes. Only difference here is that I ran my card stock through my big shot with the brick stencil.
And the same again. Just different colours..

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dance In The Rain

Morning, Today I am using one of the trees from the 'Tree and Branch' Set that Bev launched on Hochanda a couple of weeks ago. Sam has made a fabulous job and I have really loved using the whole collection.

I cut a piece of white Super Smooth card measuring 8'' square. I drew a very wonky and broken border around the card in pencil to create a frame. I masked this with Pebeo Drawing Gum to keep the area white while I continued with the design.

I tore a piece of copier paper to create a landscape. As the card was going to be visually two sides, I used mowed lawn across the whole piece and then added Iced Spruce Distress ink to the right hand side.

I then added another layer of hills using the same inks.

Next I added a mountain range, again using the same Distress Inks.

I stamped the tree, then placed a moon/sun mask just rising over the horizon.

I replaced the negative of the mountain mask, then added the positive to divide the card. I added clouds, rather heavily using Iced Spruce as I was going to create a stormy sky but still wanted the clouds to show a little. To create the stormy look I used more Iced Spruce and Blueprint Sketch.

Then I splashed with water onto the sky to lift some of the ink to give atmosphere and to give the illusion of rain.

I removed the masks and used the other one to mask my stormy sky.

I then created an early morning sky with the sun rising. For the sky I used Shaded Lilac. I coloured the sun using Scattered Straw and then blended from the bottom with Wild Honey. I also decided to add a couple more trees, to do this I used the main tree and masked off, this gave more perspective. Using Cosmic Shimmer Glue, I added green flowersoft to the sunny side of my tree.

Next I added some coloured flowersoft to make some blossom.

Finally I added the sentiment that I had backed onto grey pearlescent card with foam tape, I had shaded it using the Shaded Lilac and Iced spruce to tie it into the card.

Thank you ever so much for joining me today. I really hope you like what I have shared and the step by step of how this was created. I hope you will join me again next time.xx

Kerrie DT - Ghetto Rat - Friendship

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Our Bev will be over on Hochanda Tomorrow (Tuesday 19th July) first show at 11am - with the brand new XL Inspired by Banksy Collection have your card details ready cause they are going to Fly!!

These new stamps are massive so will be amazing to use on your larger sizes of Projects - I love them on 7x7 and 8x8 cards

Today I am sharing with you one of my Design Team makes for the shows

The background for this 7x7 Card I created using the 'Distressed Diamonds' stamp from the 'Backdrops - Textures' set. I used Distress Markers in 'Vintage Photo' and 'Stormy Sky' which I coloured directly pen to stamp, alternating colours onto the diamonds I then stamped onto a square of white cardstock. I repeat stamped over the whole piece of cardstock - this pattern  reminded me of a golfing jumper

I then created the main Image topper using 'Ghetto Rat' stamped in Stormy Sky distress ink. I coloured in his necklace using the Vintage Photo distress ink marker from before. I then stamped the edge of the 'Retro Dash and Dots' stamp from the 'Backdrops - Textures' set arpund the edges of the topper using black archival ink. Once dry I inked over the edges using Vintage Photo distress ink

I layered up the card front using Blue Pearlescent cardstock, and a Burlap border. I attached the image topper using Foam Tape. I stamped the 'Friendship' WORDage sentiment onto small offcuts of white cardstock, matted with offcuts of the blue pearlescent cardstock and attached to the card using hot glue from my glue gun
