Marleen DT

Hello dear bloggers
and welcome..

Once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for

I have another sample made with the fabuuuless stamps featured on Hochanda last week.
I used the "Art stamp sets, Ledger, nips and Ink"
Find it in the STORE with all the other amazing goodies..

This one is made on linnen card stock.
The background is smothered in different blues distressinks. I left it to FULLY dry before stamping the ledger with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I took a dotted stencil and left on the background and sprayed a bit of water through. I removede the stencil and blotted the water up with a piece of kitchen towel. It removes a bit of the ink and leave like a ghost impressing.
I then cut my panel, stamped my feather with versamark and heat embossed also with white embossing powder. Once cooled I smothered the piece in the lighted blue distress ink I had before adding the same stencil as on the background and added a bit of a darker blue distress ink through.

I mounted both pieces of card on to black cardstock and layered onto my card blank.
I finished the card by stamping the nips on to a piece of black scrap card. I stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I cut them out and added them to the card.

Should you wish to see my other samples from the last Hochanda show, also made with these stamps, just press HERE...

And that is it from me for today. I hope you like my creation.

DT Kerrie - Christmas in August x

Hiya today I would like to share with you a little something I made using some of the new stamps that will be over on Hochanda with our Bev on Thursday

I used some of the new stamps for the background they are pieces of the pine needles from the trees
I repeat stamped them in shades of green distress inks to build up the background.

I stamped the large tree onto a piece of cardstock using the same inks tapped over the stamp to add texture

I then stamped and fussy cut 2 pieces of pine to add as an embellishment which I added 2 real mini pine cones to.

I stamped on of the new sentiments which I fixed sideways onto the card front

I added some gems to finish

Don't forget to watch or set your planner's to record the shows on Thursday all the new stamps are so gorgeous you won't want to miss any xx

Marleen DT. - New stamp preview and the SORRY stamp..

Morning Blooger friends..

Did you catch our Bev from BEE CRAFTY on Hochanda yesterday?? Did you see her AMAZING new stamps??
OMG Im totally in love with them. We the DT didnt get to play this time so I have no samples to show you using them, but I still want to add the preview pic's to my post today and if you want to see future samples, come join us in our FACEBOOK GROUP.

Having a musical background myself, I must admit I just love these stamps. I dont even think I have favorite.. They really do work for everyone of all ages..

Anyway.. I DID make a project for today but I used one of the stamps from last month release. I used the "Sorry" stamp. Its just such a great fun stamp.
You can find it in the STORE with all the other amazing stamps.

This one was a simply background made with glitter paste & distress ink through a stencil. I also used distress spray to add more interest and a bit of sparkle.
I stamped my greeting with Archival black ink before I sprayed so the greeting has a bit of sparkle on it too.

And that's it from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

DT Kerrie - BEAUtanicals 'Dandelion' - Family Masterpiece

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

I wanted to share with you one of my makes showing how to use up off-cuts of pretty papers. If like me and you horde pretty paper off-cuts because you don't like to waste them - teaming them up with Beautiful Stamps from Bee Crafty is the perfect way to use them up and make Pretty Cards

I've had this pretty piece of paper for about a year and its such a shame for it not to have been used. It was an odd sized piece of paper so I made a cardblank to fit it using a piece of white pearlescent cardstock

I then chose a chalky ink to match one of the colours in the paper for this one I picked a cloudy blue, I inked the edges of the pretty paper using the cloudy blue ink and then stamped the large 'Dandelion' stamp from the 'BEAUtanicals - Dandelion' set onto an off cut of white pearlescent cardstock

I matt & layered using a chalky grey pearlescent cardstock which tied all the colours together - I love this sentiment from the 'BEAUtanicals - Ground Elder' stamp set - to finish the card nicely I used some pale blue flat back pearls
