Marleen DT - Scrappage

Hello Bloggers..

Today I have a scrappage to show you. Its for my weekly spot for

I actually started this page when the girls first brought out these stamps on Hochanda. But Im sure though, that Im not the only crafter that gets stuck on a project from time to time lol.
Needles to say, the page was started but never finished. I just didnt know how to finish it.. Until the day I took out my pile of unfinished projects and this one jumped out at me.. In no time I knew what I wanted and it was done..
Its funny how these projects seem to have a life of their own at times lol..

Picture is of my "baby" Abbie. She was about 3 on this photo.

I started by stamping my Marple leafs in both sizes on to a piece of A4 cardstock. I then took the matching Inkable and lay round my stamp and coloured the leafs with my distress ink and blanding tool. I guess I could have coloured them with my markers or pencils as well.
I added some strips of washi tape so it would be peaking out from my photo. I struck the photo down with double sided foam tape to give the LO (LayOut) more dimension. I then lay out all the flowers, making sure i was happy with the arrangement before glueing them down. I finished off this LO with some foam letters.

I love how something like these stamps can be a centre piece, and yes these stamps canwell hold their own, but also that they can be used as a background like this. These stamps was handdrawn by Sam and I LOVE that about them.

Anyway, that's all from me for today.
Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

DT Kerrie - MDF with BEAUtanicals - Never Regret

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

In September Bev and Bee Crafty were at the Alexandra Palace with Hochanda... I was lucky enough to make some samples for her to take to the show

This make is a bit special to me as I included a photo of my Mum (28th June 1960-9th July 2007) I thought the sentiments were perfect to express how much I love and miss her

First I painted the MDF plaque and stand using white gesso. Once dry I stuck down an 8x8 piece of scrapbook paper, I sanded over the edges to give a distressed feel which I then inked using Antique Linen distress ink. I attached a length of crochet lace ribbon.

I used a metal die to cut my mum from the photo and the next size up die to cut a matt for behind the photo. I attached them to the plaque using foam tape.

I Stamped the sentiments onto offcuts of white card stock and inked them using distress inks, matted using card stock. I stamped the dandies seeds directly onto the background. Then the large dandelion onto an offcut of card and fussy cut out the inked and attached to the plaque slightly overlapping the photo using a hot glue gun.

Thank you so much for visiting my post today. Please do visit again soon to see morelated gorgeous makes frome the amazing design team

Marleen DT - A bit of scrapbooking

Hello bloggers
and welcome to my slice of the www..

Today I want to share my weekly post for

Last week I totally forgot that I was to share the last 2 samples that I made for the June BeeCrafty show on Hochanda. I already shared all the cards and tags I made but I also made 2 scrappages.
I dont thing they made it on air (I missed bits of the shows and havent had time to catch them up yet). There are so many sample for Bev and the presenters to show that its close to impossible to share them all. So that is where the blogs come in handy. We can "take our time", show what we have made and have a platform to answer any questions on how we make things..

Anyway, I've used the new BEAUtanical stamps and Inkables, and they are all availiable in the BeeCrafty STORE, HERE.

This page is a pic of my youngest, Abbie. The page is made using the stamps and distress inks.

This one is a pic of my 2 elder babies, Emma & Michael. For this one I used the sentiment stamp to make my background and I used the Inkables to make the leaves. The bigger words are from stash.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.
If you want to see more of my work, come visit me on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or my FB page. Its where I share the most.

Marleen DT - Family LayOut

Hey everyone..

Once again wednesday and time for a quick post for
Bee Crafty

Today ive used the "Family Masterpiece" stamp again. Its one of my favorite sentiments stamps from the STORE.

This A4 LO is made with distress inks as background and then layering up the different elements.
My sentiment stamp is stamped to the side to give it its own focus, away from the photo yet by underlining it with the black gems, drawing it back into the rest of the page.

And that is it from me today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
