Marleen DT - Fleur and Freddie

Hello dear bloggers
and Happy Christmas to those who celebrate it.

Its my turn to share a bit of inspiration today for
BeeCrafty.
I havent actually been crafting for a few weeks now as my mojo left with the christmas stress, so today Im gonna share a few cards I made with the Fleur and Freddie stamps back when the girls had them on Hochanda. Find these adorable stamps in the STORE with all the other amazing goodies.

For both cards I stamped strait onto white smooth cardstock and coloured with my water colour pencils. Matting and layering and voila.. Very simple cards and you could use any colouring mediums you feel comfortable with.

And that is it for today. Stay tunes to BeeCrafty though, the girls have some amazing stamps up their sleeves for the new year.

Marleen DT - Fleur & Freddie

Hello again..

Once again wednesday, once again Bee Crafty, Once again a tag lol..

As many of us do, we have our stash, we have our favorites and tend to "forget" about the non favorites for a bit.. I do this a lot, be it my stamps, my washi tape collection, my papers, my ect ect..
Often we dont "forget" because we dont like the goodies, its simply just cause we have (more often enough) way to much to play with lol
And I am very quilty of this..

The stamp I played with for today, I actually love. Its such a cute stamp but its an occational stamp (many occations may I add) one that says LOVE. Now to be honest, I dont often make projects around the love theme so I have to (blushing here*) admit that this stamp had gone to the bottom of my Bee Crafty stamp box..

As I sat down to play, I knew I wanted to do something with my greeting - "Decision to try stamp", also from the Bee Crafty STORE - and I LOVE making tags so that was my next choice. So I sat down, made my back ground on the tag and started rumaging for my greeting. And that is when I "found" my
And that was it.. I knew strait up what to and how to finish my tag.

Im so glad I "found" Fleur & Freddie when rumaging my stamps. I love how this tag came out and it made me think about rumaging through my boxes more often. God only knows what other goodies I have forgotten about..

Marleen DT - Pocket Letter

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

Its once again wednesday and time for my weekly slot for
This week Ive had a play with a whole heap of stamps as I've had another go at making a pocket letter.

Ive used the following stamps:
  Clover
You can find them all in the  STORE..
Here is what Ive made for this week.

All I did was cutting my pieces of card to fit each pocket. Then painted all the cards with different colours. I used H2o's with sprays of water to colour mine.
I then stamped each card with my chosen stamp and added a few decorations.
All I need now to finish of this pocket letter is to fil the pockets with goodies and a letter and send to my swap partner.

If you want to know more about PL (pocket letters) visit this FB group

And that is all from me for today.

Marleen DT - Freddie & Fleur - Wordage

Hello blogger friends..

Wednesday again and time for another post from me for

Ive had a play with Freddie & Fleur - Tete a tete from the
Love & Romance collection this week. Well Ive had a play with some of it ;-)
I also used the Glad I did it stamp from the wordage collection.

You can find these stamps and all the other yummy stamps in the
STORE...

Here is what I've made:

My inspiration for this card acctually came from my Bee Crafty Teamie Clare.
Clare had used a stensil in a way I had never seen before..
(pop over HERE for a nosy of Clare's post)
I really loved what Clare had done so I decided to try it out. As you can tell if you do have a nosy is that my card turned out nothing like Clare's but I still really loved the effect I got so i simply just went on to make the rest of my card.

First I lay a die cut circle onto my card stock. I then inked up my stencil with distress ink. I THEN lay it on top of my cardstock. (ink side down on the card stock)
As it looked a bit messy I decided to go with the mess and sprayed a mist of water over my cardstock so the distressink started to smudge a bit.  Finished of my background with a bit of dark brown distress ink on the edges and left it all to fully dry.

While drying I then made my topper. The circles are simply just diecut, but the heart is from the Freddie & Fleur stamp. I simply just inked up the heart and only stamped that, leaving the rest of the image. I stamped again, just the heart, onto pink card stock to make the 2 small hearts.

I then assembled my card with the matting and layering, stamped my greeting and layered on the circles. I finies with glossy accent and the 2 small pink hearts..

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my wee tag.

Marleen DT - Freddy & Fleur

Good morning blogger friends..

Ive had a play with Freddie & Fleur - Holding hands from the Love & Romance collection for today and Ive gone all monochrome. Not something i try my hand at very often.
You can find this stamp and all the other yummy stamps in the
STORE...

Here is what Ive made:

For this card I stamped Freddy & Fleur and coloured in the little hearts. I then covered the image in a doublesided stickysheet and covered it with glitter.
The rest of the card is matting and layering, adding a strip a ribbon, the greeting, bow and pins..
The finishing touch is the fake stitches I made with a black pen.

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my wee tag.

Marleen DT, Fleur & Freddie.

Hi blogger friends
and thank you for popping by.

A post today to share a wee card Ive made for

Dont forget you can catch our boss lady, Beverly, over on The British Craft Network.
Its an online channel where loads of big craft names runs hourly shows.

For todays's card Ive used the stamp called "Fleur & Freddie - Tete a Tete" from the
Fleur & Freddie collection.
You can find it in the STORE with all the other amazing goodies..

Here is what Ive made:

This card is made with a few papers from my stash and just the image. ITs very simple but I sometimes I really think less is more.
Fleur & Freddie is colored with promarkers and I used chalk for the background.
The heart is also coloured with Promarkers but I then added a coat of glossy accent over it to really make it stand out.
The text on the card is a rub-on i found in my stash.

And that is really it. As I said, very simple, but I really like how it turned out.
Thank you for popping by and for any comment left behind.
And why not pop over and join me on my FACEBOOK page.

Kerrie DT - Cloud Nine - Fleur & Freddie

Happy Tuesday which means its my turn to share with you my Design Team make for Bee Crafty Stamps

I sticking with my new years resolution to use up stash I already have and to try new techniques with them

As soon as I see this stamp I thought Fleur & Freddie were flying so for this make ive created a sky as a background

I stamped the image onto watercolour card using Archival Ink (waterproof) then I painted over ths image using Art Masking Fluid so I could make the background look like its behind the figures

Using: Tumbled Glass, Broken China & Stormy Sky - Distress Inks I sponged them over the watercolour card which I had spritzed with water - I sprinkled this wet background with Salt (for a speckled rain effect) and then dried it using a heat gun on the lowest setting

I rubbed away the dry masking fluid to reveal the uncoloured image

I then watercoloured the image using Distress Markers: Walnut Stain, Fired Brick, Faded Jeans, Tattered Rose & Victorian Velvet

I matted the watercoloured picture using dark red cardstock and fixed it to a scalloped card blank. I stamped the 'With Love' WORDage stamp in the corner and used Glossy Accents on the heart balloons to finish the card

Thank you so much for visiting the Bee Crafty Blog today Happy Stamping
