DT Kerrie - Look Beyond the Imperfections

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

I have been using my Planner a lot lately and decided to make a New Dashboard (Front focal laminated page) as my Design Team make this week

My Planner is Sea Green and most of my inserts and decorations are various pinks and greens so this gave me the colour scheme for my Dashboard

I chose a pretty rose coloured backing paper which already had some pretty details on which I then trimmed to the size of a Planner Insert. I then stamped some extra details using some Bee Crafty stamps and brown archival ink the stamps I chose were...

Backdrop Borders - Dandies
Backdrop Borders - Flower Distressed Border
Yuletide - Holly Swirl

I stamped 'Fashionette - Rosie' onto white smooth cardstock and coloured her using my fave alcohol markers - I then fussy cut her and attched her to the backing paper using strong glue

Next I Stamped my chosen Sentiment 'Wordage - Being Happy' onto the top corner of the backing paper. I love this Sentiment as it is very inspiring

I laminated the finished Dashboard, punched the planner holes using a personal size punch and rounded the corners to finish

Kerrie DT - Tin Man - Tag

Hiya and welcome to my Friday post for Bee Crafty

This week I have made a Tag using a few of my fave stamps

Bee Crafty stamps I have used are..

They are all available from the Bee Crafty STORE along with lots of other yummy products

First I stamped the Tin Man using grey ink into the centre of the tag, I then stamped again onto a piece of wide tape from my masking roll, which I cut around the Tin Man shape to make a mask. I was the Tin Man un-coloured for later.

Next I stamped the Backdrops Border - Clover using clear embossing ink accross the bottom of the tag just touching the Tin Man's feet. I used silver embossing powder tipped over the front, tapped of excess powder and heated with a heat gun

Then I stamped the 'Da Vinci - Script' stamp over the whole tag using clear embossing ink and then used 'clear' embossing powder and heat embossed - the tag is very textured now with raised areas. I inked over using 'Weathered Wood' and 'Pumice Stone' Distress Inks over the tag.

I used the leaf stamps from the 'BEAUtanicals - Maple Solid' to randomly stamp in the corners and down the sides of the tag

I added some random stamping of the 'BEAUtanicals - Cow Parsley' stamp in between the leaves. I took the masking tape off the tag to reveal the un-coloured Tin Man

I stamped the 'WORDage - Being Happy' off the edge of the tag so only the 'look beyond the Imperfections' line was on the tag. I heat embossed using silver embossing powder.

I ran the clear ink pad over the tag edges and dipped into black embossing powder and heated with an embossing gun

I coloured the Tin Man using Alcohol Markers

Kerrie DT - BEAUtanicals 'Dandelion'

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday post for Bee Crafty

For my card today I have used a mixture of my favourite Bee Crafty polymer stamps

I stamped the Script stamp over the background using 'Pumice Stone' distress ink, then the Bubble Wrap stamp into the corners using 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.

Using 'Spun Sugar' distress ink using one of the small round blending tool in circular motions darker into the corners and lighter around the sides, then using a piece of blending sponge i inked the edges using 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.

I stamped the Bubble Wrap again using White chalky paint

I stamped the Dandelion using 'Black Soot' distress ink, then stamped just the blown away seeds randomly around the outside of the card. Using 'Black Soot' again I stamped the Being Happy sentiment near the corner.

I have used some Pink textured cardstock and some Mink mirror board from my stash for the layers and before i fixed the stamped section I inked over all the edges of the layers and card blank using 'Spun Sugar' distress ink.

Thank you for visiting today please do visit again soon to see more Bee Crafty makes from the team

Kerrie DT - Wordage 'Being Happy'

Hiya and welcome to my Tuesday post for Bee Crafty Stamps

This week I have chosen to use one of favourite sentiment stamps from the Bee Crafty Shop

I love this sentiment and wanted to show it off in a Clean & Simple way I dont do simple often but sometimes I like to push out of my comfort zone

I have chosen a 7x7inch cardblank and turned it on its side so it opens as a tent fold. I trimmed a piece of pearlescent white cardstock to 1/8inch smaller than the cardblank by laying it over and marking with a pencil before trimming with a guilotine. I then lined up a plain circle die to the centre taped in place with some low tack masking tape and run through my die-cutting machine. For texture I then chose a simple design embossing folder, lined up the design in the corners of the die cut panel and run through my machine using the plate order for embossing folders.

I stamped the sentiment onto an offcut of plain white cardstock smaller than the cut and embossed panel. I used a wet glue on the back of the cut&embossed panel just around the die-cut aperture hole and then looking through the hole i lined it up over the centre of the sentiment then pressed down.
To created the fancy circle border I used a fancy circular die cut from black cardstock then lined up the plain circle die to the centre and taped with low tack masking tape, I ran this through my machine and when it was cut there was a tiny border left and the fancy circular pattern. I stuck this to the circle aperture using tacky glue being careful to line it up with the edge that was already cut.

I wrapped a black and white zigzag patterned ribbon around this panel and attached at the back with high tack tape. The bow i made using the offcut (last of the roll so i need to go shopping) which I doubled over at the back and wrapped a small piece around to create a neat bow.

I trimmed a black piece of cardstock to leave a small border around the panel which i fixed to the black cardstock using 1 mm foam tape for a bit of depth.

I added a dazzler embellishment in each corner to finish the card.

I hope you like my card today and will visit the Blog again soon for more projects by the Bee Crafty Team

Being Happy....

...Means whatever you want it to

So not my normal sort of post but hey whats normal?

Anyhoo I went down the journal route for this one, I just fancied something a bit different and perhaps it's not everyone's cup of tea but isn't that the point of what we do?  Individual? Each to their own kind of stuff?

So I used some of The Village stamps with an array of the Inkables templates coupled with what has to be one of my favourite Wordage stamps.

So first I got some colour down and then couldn't decide which template to use so pretty much went wild with the chain link, the honeycomb and the one with the bunting that will be with us soon!!!

I didn't want the uniform chain link fencing so literally wafted my distress inkpad all over it and splatted it onto the page and kept going until I had what I thought looked like an OK background.  Inked through the honeycombe and bunting and then set about stamping some houses...

I decided that the houses needed paths so just doodled these onto some lightweight cardstock and attached them to the houses once I had coloured them in using promarkers

Like I said one of my favourite Wordage stamps - Being Happy in the large version, stamped it out in black memento ink onto some lightweight cardstock and chopped it up a bit so that I could spread it over the page.  I think it covers what I was saying earlier quite well in terms of - perhaps my perfection and yours are different - which is why I love that stamp!

Once I had cot my houses stuck down I used the birds and wire stamp from the village collection and doodled the joining and extra bits in to fit - have to say having them as a guide was awesome though and a great way to use the stamp.

So hope you like it - I had great fun with this one!

Everything is beyond ...

...perfect

Along with a few others I made my lovely mum a mothers day card this weekend and here it is.

I used some of our Teasels stamps from the BEAUtanicals range coupled with some words cut out from  the Being Happy large wordage and some distress ink.

Now I wasn't sure to begin with, was it a 'bit dark' for such an occasion.

Then I decided that I loved it so with nothing but hope that was it.

Turns out I was lucky and she did so lets hope you guys did too.

Take Care
