Barbara DT - A Trio of Weeds......

Hi bloggers, I'm back again with a little trio of notelets I've made this week.....
A very easy technique using a stamping block and Brusho's.
I started by spritzing a perspex block with water, and adding a couple of colours of Brusho's, then quickly flipping the block and placing down on my cardstock. Sometimes it gets a bit messy and you have paint swooshing all over the card, but you never get 2 the same, which is nice.
Once this was dry, I overstamped with images and sentiments from the BEAUtanicals range,
I used teasels and ground elder.
I added a bit of Glossy Accents to the heads, and a few sequins to finish.
Hope you like them.
Back soon with more Saturday inspiration,
Have a great weekend,
Barbara x

Emily DT - Value of a moment

Hi everyone, Emily here again with some inspiration using Brushos this week. I adore my Brushos and I use them a lot, usually by sprinkling them onto card and then spraying them with water. However this week I have used them slightly differently.

I chose my colours and then sprinkled some of each onto my glass mat. I sprayed them with water and then painted them onto my white card. I added more water to blend the colours together,

Once it was dry I stamped the floral stamp using black memento ink and then mounted it onto black card.

I then mounted it onto a card blank and stamped my chosen sentiment directly onto the card blank.

I love the combination of colours and like the watercolour effect from using the Brushos this way.

I hope you like it too.

Marleen DT - Ghetto Blaster

Afternoon Bloggers
and thank you for popping by.

Omce again Wednesday and my turn to share a bit of inspiration for

Im starting to really love this MDF.. So much that I dug out an old mdf scrapbook kit I never used and took it apart lol

For today I have used 2 stamps.
The "Ghetto Blaster" and
the "Greatness Words".

I decided to start by painting the MDF with distress paint in greens and overlayed with a bit of gold distress paint. Once paint was dry I stamped my Ghetto Blaster boy with black archival.
I then made a shimmer spray with mica powder and sprayed over the whole piece.
I stamped my Greatness words on a piece of scrap card and covered the whole piece with green mica powder before cutting the words apart and sticking onto my piece.
I finished by adding a piece of string so the plaque can hang.

And that is all from me for today.
Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Kerrie DT - WORDage 'Wake Up'

Hiya and welcome to my Monday post for Bee Crafty

I made this card using distress inks and a few of my favourite bee crafty stamps

First I trimmed down a piece of cardstock to a few mm smaller than a 7x7inch card blank. I inked up the front using foam blender and distress inks in 'Shabby Shutters' 'squeezed Lemonade' 'Tumbled Glass' and 'Worn Lipstick' to create a coloured marbled like background.

I then repeat stamped a Style Wore Border at different angles over the background. Once dry I matted this background piece using black cardstock.

Next I stamped the 'Dreams Come True' wordage sentiment onto a smaller precut piece of cardstock. I stamped the style wire border around the edges and matted this smaller card onto black carstock and fixed to the card front using foam tape.

I Sramped just the flower part of the distressed flower border onto scrap card a few times which I then fussy cut out. I shaped them using a ball tool on the reverse on a foam mat to create dimension and then fixed at oposite corners of the card front using a hot glue gun.

Thank you so kucj for visiting my post today. Come back soon to see more gorgeous design team makes

Barbara DT - Love, Love, Love......

Morning crafters, Saturday already....where is this month going?? It will soon be Christmas!! ;-)
Anyway, this week for my BEE CRAFTY DT inspiration I've made a card which would be suitable for Valentine's day, a wedding, wedding anniversary....in fact lots of occasions, as it uses quite a generic sentiment.
The background is done with Brushos, then I heat-embossed 2 of the edges with 'Backdrops Frames' and Ranger embossing powder in Magenta.
I stamped the complete backdrop frame in the middle with Versamark and heat-embossed in black.
The sentiment was stamped onto a separate piece of card and adhered to the centre of the frame.
All products are available from BEE CRAFTY
I've used a new textured cardstock, called Hemp.
Well, that's it for today, hope you like my card. It would be great if you could take a minute to leave a comment....good or bad, no problem.
See ya next week,
Barbara xx

Emily DT - Love

Hiya everyone, it's my turn again and I've tried something a bit different this week. I'm starting to think about Valentine's Day (as I'm sure many people are) and so have made a Valentine's Day card with no red in sight!

Here is the card I have made...

I started by stamping the style wire heart frame in black Memento ink. I deliberately chose a water-based ink because I wanted to get a certain effect. After stamping it I spritzed it lightly with water and let the ink run.

Once it was dry I stamped my Love sentiment and went round the edge with a pale grey distress ink to give a very subtle edge. I mounted it onto black card and onto a card blank.

It is very simple but I don't think it needs anything else. This technique with the water can be done with any water based ink and so could be done in other colours. I really love it in the black & grey combination though.

I hope you like it too!

Marleen DT - Mixed Media

Hi Bloggers..

Time to share my weekly post for BeeCrafty.
Today I had a play with Mixed Media. Its not something I do very often, but something I would really love to get the hang off. So what better way to get the hang of something then to mix it with your favorite stamps ;-)

For today I used only a small stamp. The Butterflies..
They may be "small, but they are the perfect size to add accents to your projects.
There are 4 different sets of butterflies and you can find them all in the STORE, HERE.

I honestly couldnet really tell you how I made the mixed media piece.. Its something I have worked on from time to time until I was happy with it.
There is modgepodge on it, stones, gauge, paints, gelatoes, string and who knows what else lol

The butterflies however.. I remember how I made them lol..~I stamped them with black Archival onto a 300g white card stock. I chose the thick card so they will stay solid. I fuzzy cut them and added gelatoes to them. I added a wee bit of guilding wax over the gelato to give them extra shimmer and stuck them unto my piece with glue gel.

And that is all from me for today.

Kerrie DT - Decision To Try... - Mixed Media Canvas

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

Today I am sharing with you a recent make for one of the Hochanda Shows that I have not Blogged about before... my Mixed Media Canvas

The Bee Crafty Products I used on this project are...

First I covered the canvas with white gesso, Once dry, I trimmed a piece of old music from a piano book and glued this to the canvas and then painted over again using white gesso. I made sure that the gesso was applied thinly so that the music notes could still be seen. Next I painted over with a coat of Magnolia Chalky Paint and left to dry fully.

On a piece of thin corrugated card I drew around the inside and outside of  the 6" Square Inkables Template which I then cut out to create a frame, I covered this frame using music score paper and then I used filler to seal in the corrugated edges and painted over a coat of white gesso. Once dry I painted over the frame again using Mink Chalky Paint and left to dry fully.

Once both pieces were fully dry I used a strong white glue to stick the frame to the canvas at a jaunty angle. I then used filler through the 4" Heart Inkables Template to place hearts inside and outside of the frame and around the canvas. I used a heat gun to speed up the drying process so that I could then paint the Hearts using Damson Chalky Paint.

Next I stamped the Style Wire Border around the edges of the frame, and the Lines & Dots Texture onto the canvas. I then stamped the Decission To Try WORDage onto white cardstock, which I then cut the scetions of the sentiment out, backed them with dark gold mirror board and attached to the canvas inside the frame using a hot glue gun spreading the words out over the space. I picked out some paper flowers, wooden buttons and metal embellishments (one being a little Bee for Bee Crafty... just cause I can) I fixed them into opposite corners of the frame using a hot glue gun.

To seal and varnish the project I painted over everything using Mod Podge.

Emily DT - Be Yourself

Hi everyone, this week has flown by and it is my turn again to share some inspiration. This week I have made a card which I love! Here is the card I have made...

I started with a piece of Brusho card that I had made previously in yellows. I inked through the honeycomb Inkable in yellow and orange Distress Inks and then stamped the smallest style wire circle in the same colours.

I then used the large star inkable and a dark blue ink and lightly blended through. I wanted it to be very subtle and not too dark.

Using a white pen I went round the star with dots and also highlighted some of the honeycomb shapes.

Then I stamped the 'Be Yourself' sentiment in black and orange and went round the orange part with a black pen. I achieved this by masking off parts of the stamp and stamping it twice.

I love how it turned out and I hope you like it too,

Marleen DT - a quick flower card.

Happy New Year dear bloggers..

I hope you made it in to the new year safely and happy.
Its once again wednesday and my turn to share a bit of inspiration for

I have to admit, I didnt think I would get my post up for today as hubby surprised me with a night away with no babies but I got my days mixed up, thinking today (tuesday) was wednesday and I wouldnt be home to get a project made and posted ol..
Never mind, I made it, although its only a quick make..

For today I pulled out my "old" Faboules Flowers" stamp to play. I havent used it in a while and wanted to use it to have a play with my christmas pressie.
Link to the STORE if you fancy a browse of all the amazing STAMPS.

For this project I took my flower stamp, stamped it onto watercolour card stock with versamark. I heatset it with black embossing powder.
I then took my new "Zig clean colour real brush" and scribbled 3 different colours over my stamping.
I then took my waterbrush and blended out the colours.
(this could be done with distress markers or water colour pencils as well and a paint brush with water could be used as well)

I finished this card with a diecut greeting, a black mat and a coat of a sparkle pen.

And that is it from me for today. Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.
