Alison CT - Final Christmas card of the year

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing my final Christmas card of this year. This could Quiet easily be re-created in shades of blue for Sally's challenge.
To begin,  I stamped both sizes of the button using strawberry Versafine Clair and the larger ribbon using rainforest Versafine Clair. All three stamps are from the Doodle Art Nutcrackin' Christmas stamp set.
I then smoothed festive berries distress oxide on to my blending mat and spritzer with water. I then dipped my background piece in this. I left this to dry.

Then, I used a blending tool to add festive berries oxide around the edge.
I glued the background to a 5 x 7 card blank.
On separate card,  I stamped the larger nutcracker and the sentiment.  I coloured the nutcracker with pencil crayons and the sentiment with a gel pens. I then cut them out.
Finally I glued the nutcracker and sentiment to the background.
Products used:
Versafine Clair - strawberry, rainforest, nocturne
Distress oxide  - festive berries
Colouring pencils
Red gel pens

Thank you for taking a look.

Calee CT - Be happy today

Hi , cards made, presents almost wrapped. So I have had time for a little play in my  6x6 in journal , for this weeks step by step

I didn’t  have a plan for this page ,so just choose a random collage catalyst paper .This one is an A5  size from the Wing Whispers collection .

This I cut to size and glued down , leaving a small border of journal page showing .

Next choosing two D’inkables from set 2 . I used some texture paste to create a panel of brick work and some patches of black circles using Black Soot Distress ink .

Using a white Posca pen , I then added a stitched border to my page and some dot details on the coloured circles.

My next step was to stamp out the small Dandedaisy from the Doodle Art stamp set .

To finish my page I coloured my Dandedaisy with Ecoline water colour pens , doodled some pink hearts and added a sentiment from the Wordy stickers set 3 .
This was a fairly quick and simple page to create , but sometimes thats all you need .
Thank you for taking a look this week , I have listed the products I have used below.

Sally CT - Abstract blue Christmas

Hi there! I am here with a little more inspiration for our Blue Challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group. This sort of card doesn't have to be a Christmas one.   You could use it for just about anything. Here is how I made it.

I began by spraying a piece of mixed media card with Blue sprays - I used oxide ink spray and distress spritz.
Once this was dry I stamped a doodle art Mandala from set #2 onto the background and heat embossed in gold
Next I used the same process to add some doodle art snowflakes.
Across the background I used more stamps from the doodle Art snowflake set and stamped in Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink.

On a scrap of blue card, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in gold.
Finally I matted and layered the background to a white 5"square card and added the sentiment with 3d foam pads.
Here it is again capturing the shine from the embossing.

I used:
Doodle Art Snowflakes (Discontinued)
9cm square of mixed media card
Distress oxide sprays - I used prize Ribbon and Salty Ocean
Distress Spritz - I used Uncharted Mariner
Distress oxide ink - I used Chipped Sapphire
5x5" card blank
Coordinating card for matting and layering

Calee CT- Gingerbread Bauble

Hi as you can see I’m full on  Christmas card making now and my step by step this week is a bauble card , featuring this cute gingerbread man .

First ,to create my background I cut a mat for my 7x7in card blank . Using Mowed Lawn and Lucy Clover distress inks and this leaf  D’inkable from set 14 . I edged my mat layer with ink and a leaf was added.

A little difficult to see in this photo, I then used a white gel pen on each leaf adding a boarder and some dotting .

To create my bauble I cut out a circle of watercolour card, for this you could also use a circular D’inkable .

Using distress inks Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass and a little water on a brush I coloured my bauble , adding some white gel pen highlights to give a glassy feel .

My next step was to stamp out and colour two gingerbread men from the Doodle Art Christmas pudding stamp set . For this I used a combination of of Ecoline watercolour pens and gel pens .

Before assembling my card I stamped and mounted , on green card , the Merry Christmas sentiment from the same stamp set .

I then mounted my background on to my card blank adding a dark green matting layer

Finally I added a doodled border using a black fine liner then drew the top of my bauble and a string attaching the bauble to my branch . I chose to use just one of my gingerbread men with some dimensional paint snow .

Thank you for  taking a look this week
Happy crafting

Sally CT - Time to breathe

Hi There! Thought I would take a little break from Christmas prep and have a few minutes art journaling. This is how the pages came together.

I began by spraying distress oxide sprays in spun sugar, Wild Honey and Prize ribbon onto a page in my Dylusions journal. I used a brush to make it a little more evenly spread.
When this was dry I used a face from the A5 Rainbow Thoughts Catalyst collage papers and added it to the page using Matte Medium.

Using Journaling Essentials #9 stamp set I added some stamping to the background using coordinating distress oxide inks then left to dry completely.
Finally I added a handwritten sentiment using acrylic markers.
Here are the finished pages again.

I used:
Distress oxide sprays - I used Spun Sugar, Wild Honey and Prize Ribbon
Distress oxide inks - I used Wild Honey, Broken China, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet
Matte Medium
Posca pens or other Acrylic pens

I really enjoyed doing this although writing it myself is still out of my comfort zone! I hope you can join me for my Facebook live over on the bee crafty Facebook page at 8pm this evening.

Thanks for looking!

Alison CT - A break from Christmas Preparation

Hi everyone,  I don't know if you're like me at this time of year, but I occasionally need a break from all the Christmas preparation. So today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using Catalyst Card, Catalyst Collage Papers and variety of inkable products.
To begin, I cut the white edges off of one of the A6 greyscale Catalyst cards from set 2. I then tore it into pieces diagonally. I used a punch to round the corners, then used matte medium to glue it to the page. I then blended prize ribbon and seedless preserve distress oxide over it.

As the leaves on the catalyst card had been almost hidden by the ink, I went over them with a white posca pen.

Using the pointy leaf dinkable from set 14 I drew some more leaves using the white posca pen. I added white dots to coordinate with the catalyst card images.

I cut out the face from the catalyst collage paper from the A5 Rainbow Thoughts pack.

Using only the flowers from the inkables tags from sets 4 and 6 and distress oxides to match the image, I added single flowers over the leafy areas. I then used matte medium to glue the image to the page.
Finally I chose a sentiment from the Wordy Stickers sheet 1, added it to the page and used a pink micron pen to add a border to it.
Products used:
Inkable Tags sets 4 and 6
Distress oxide - seedless preserve,  prize ribbon,  mustard seed, candied apple, villianous potion
White Posca pen
Pink micron pen

Thank you for taking a look.

Calee CT - Christmas tree

Hi all , a new month and a new challenge theme - blue.    I have a blue Christmas tree card to share for my step by step guide this week .

To create my background I chose two distress inks in shades of blue and using a small piece of  acetate and a squirt of water, I smooshed them on to my card .

When this was dry and using the snowflakes from the Doodle Art  Christmas tree stamp set . A sprinkling of snowflakes  in both blues were added .

Stamping out the Doodle Art Christmas tree it was coloured in with various blues , including gel pens , Ecoline water colour pens and water colour pencils

Next I added a few details and a little doodling with a white gel pen.

Taking a ruler and blue sharpie pen a boarder was added to all sides .

To finished  my card my background and tree were glued on to a 5x7in white card base and a stitched boarder using a black fine liner pen was added . Then some doodled hearts with the blue sharpie pen .
The sentiment for this card is from the  mixed messages Christmas stamp set and stamped in blue .

Thank you for stopping by and I hope this has given you a little inspiration for this months challenge
