Calee CT - Wild and Free

Hi all , this week I have a card to share with you , using the colours from the Bee Crafty palette week 4. Pinks and purple are some of my favourite colours so I loved having a play with them  . I chose Speckled Egg as my blue shade ,which on reflection is maybe a little pale but it’s all a learning curve .

First I chose this catalyst card from pack #3 as the base of my background .

This was torn in strips and glued down on to a piece of white card .

Taking two colours from the colour palette , Distress inks Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserve . I inked around the edge and using the Coffee Stain Script inkable added some random stencilling
The next step was to add some more stamping . For this I used stamps from the Journal Art Elements 3 set and introducing the distress ink Worn lipstick , along with my previous colours , the background was added to .
Using a white gel pen I added a white stitched border and some dots. A little difficult to see in the photo a couple of splatters of Speckled Egg Distress pray were also used .

Next I stamped and coloured the Doodle Art Dragonfly , using the same inks as water colours and added some accents and details with my white gel pen .

My background was  given a black matting layer then added to a white card base

Next the addition of a sentiment , from the Wordage -Small Words  stamp set, which I stamped out twice ,  cutting one phrase in half and adding separately to my card . A few more white border stitches and my card was  finished .
Thank you for taking a look , I will list the products I used below

Sally CT - Another Floral Journal page

Hi There! I am here with an art journal spread today. Here's how it came together.

I began by adding some catalyst collage papers to the two sides using matte medium.
Next, I added some torn book pages to the gaps in between.
Once this was dry, I blended Distress oxide inks around the page to colour the base layer.
I also blended some Distress Oxide ink through a tag inkable in a couple of pages.
Using the same colours of ink, I added some stamping using the Bee Crafty Journaling essentials #9 stamp set.
On a separate piece of paper I stamped the flowers from Journaling Essentials #5, coloured them with ecoline pens and cut them out.
I added these to the pages using matte medium, along with a couple of wordy stickers
Finally I added a few highlights using Gelly Roll Moonlight pens.
Here are the finished pages again.
I used:
Wordy Stickers - I used 3B
Book pages
Distress Oxide inks - I used Vintage photo, Antique Linen and Fossilized Amber
Ecoline pens
Black Versafine Clair ink

This is my last chance to remind you that you have until Saturday to enter the Floral challenge over on the Bee Crafty Stamps Group on Facebook, so I hope you will enter!

Alison CT - A trio of Dandedaisies

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a guide to creating this art journal page as inspiration for Sally's challenge in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group.

To begin I trimmed off the white edges from one of the media catalyst papers from set 3. I then used matte medium to adhere it to the page in my journal. I then trimmed off the excess.

I edged the page with salty ocean distress oxide. I also blended the same ink through the metal alpha dinkable from set 5.

Next I added grit paste to the page through the dots dinkable from set 2. I left this to dry naturally.

On separate card I stamped three dandedaisies using Versafine Clair nocturne ink. I coloured them using distress watercolour pencils. I then cut them out.

I cut out a selection of the journal circles transparency prints.
Next I glued everything to the page.
Finally I added one of the Wordy Stickers from set 3 to the page and added a black border around the outside of thr sticker.

Calee CT - Dandedaisy floral inspiration

Hi , this week for my step by step guide I have some floral inspiration for you . Bee Crafty have lots of gorgeous floral  products , stamps, papers and Inkables perfect for this months floral challenge theme , I’ve played with just a couple.

My first step then was to choose a catalyst collage paper for my background. This one is from the Cone flowers pack . This is a smaller journal 6 x6 inch so I cut to size choosing the cone flowers as the main feature .

To this I added some stencilling with D’inkables from set 2 and Distress inks Villainous Potion and Picked Raspberry I also added a stitched border with a white gel pen .

Next I stamped out the Doodle Art Dandedaisy stamp ready to colour with my Ecoline water colour pens .

A little more stamping on my background and another stitched border , this time with a black fine liner and I was ready to add my Dandedaisy .

After trying out various positions for my flower, I felt I needed to break up the background , to allow the flower to stand out more . This was done by adding some torn pieces of old book page , once I was happy I glued down the Dandedaisy and added a sentiment from the Ticker Tape 4 wordage stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by this week , I hope you found my step by step useful , if you make a floral creation this month , don’t forget to share and add it to the challenge album on the Bee crafty facebook page  .

Happy crafting

Alison CT - Rainbow Bird

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using Catalyst Collage Papers,  Journaling Essentials stamps and the Rainbow Bird stamp set.
To begin, I cut one of the A5 Painted Petals and Portraits Catalyst Collage papers to fit my notebook journal. I used a corner rounder punch to round the two right hand corners. I then used matte medium to adhere it to the page.
I used Versafine Clair twilight ink to stamp the dots from Journaling Essentials 9 around the page.
I then used Versafine Clair bali blue ink to stamp the small grid from the same stamp set.
On separate card, I stamped the larger burden, from the Rainbow Birds stamp set, using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.
To colour him, I scribbled areas selection of Ecoline watercolour pens on one end of a super skinny slim acrylic bloc. I lightly sprayed this with water then pressed it down on to my image. When it was dry, I cut him out and added white pen details.
I used a wet glue to add the burden to the page. I drew some musical notes near his beak.
Finally,  I stamped then cut out the sentiment and glued it to the page. I added a faux stitched border.
Products used:
Black and White pens
Versafine Clair - nocturne,  bali blue, twilight
Assorted Ecoline Pens

Calee CT - Colour palette week 2

Hi ,  week two of the Bee crafty colour palette and I have double page spread in a small note book journal. These are not colours I would think to use together , but that’s good as it’s giving me a bit challenge !

So my fist step was to lay down two colours of distress ink , Spiced Marmalade and Cracked Pistachio all over my pages

I removed a little of the ink with some water slashes and blotting . Then using  D’inkables from set 14 , I used white texture paste and Black soot distress ink to create some leaves .

The red from this mix of colours reminded me of a ladybird, so using the ladybird Doodle Art stamp set, I stamped and coloured one ladybird using Ecoline water colour pens .

My next  step was to add a little more interest to my background , so using a few of the smaller stamps  from the ladybird set and Distress inks Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door, I stamped randomly on my pages . A stitched border and some black and white details were also added to my leaves .

So here is my completed page with the ladybird  on , a sentiment from the Ticker Tape 1 stamp set and a few splatters of white paint
Thank you for taking a look , I hope you like my interpretation of the Beecrafty palette colours , if you are creating this week please share your makes on the face book page , we love to see them .
Products I used this week are :
Small note book journal , white gel pen , black fine liner and white texture paste .
