Alison CT - Christmas

Hi everyone, as it is week 40 of the Christmas card a week challenge and also the begining of October, I thought I would share two new simple Christmas cards and some of my favourite makes from the past 40 weeks.

For this card, begin by blending tattered rose distress oxide in a rough circle in the centre of a 6x6 inch square of card. Then blend candied apple distress oxide around the circle out to the edges of the card. Sprits with water. Pat dry with kitchen roll. Leave to dry completely.

Place the Santa inkable over the card, use low tack tape to stick it down if you wish. Blend black soot distress oxide through the inkable. Ensure you blendin all directions to ensure the ink gets into all the small areas. Add a sentiment of your choice using versafine clair nocturne ink.
Mount on black card, thenkon to a 7 inch square card blank.

For an alernative version I used salvaged patina and uncharted mariner distress oxide to create the background, then the 6x6 snowflake 2 inkable with uncharted mariner distress ink. I then added the text stamp from the Yuletide doodle art regular snowflake stamp set around the edges and added a sentiment using versafine clair twilight ink.

Some of my favourite makes from the past 40 weeks.
