Hello , this week for my step by step I have a journal page with a painty background , which will hopefully give a little inspiration for this months challenge .
My first step was to choose my paints , and as I usually use blues and greens , I pick colours that are a little out of my comfort zone . These were Dylusions shimmer paints -Bubble gum, Pure Sunshine and Post BoxRed .
Then I lay down some random paint stripes across my page , adding some cross hatching to break up the larger areas.
Next using D’inkables from set 14 and some black acrylic paint I sponged on to my background using a small sponge applicator.
Using D’inkables from set 15 I added some blue dots using Distress ink Blue Prink Sketch and detail to the leaves with a white Posca pen ,completing my background with a bold stitched border.
Using the transparency prints Birds and Sprigs , I cut out one of the birds and doodled circles trying then in various plaa as cues on my page . In my bit box I found some stamped circles that I thought would also work well on this page .
Before gluing down all of my elements , I added a few doodled hearts with a blue Posca pen and some white hatching , I must admit I sometimes find it hard to stop adding little extra bits to my backgrounds !
Finally I glued down the transparencies and added a sentiment from the Wordy stickers set 3 .
