Alison CT - Painted Petals and Portraits

Hi everyone today I'm sharing an art journal page created mixing some of the new products with older products, as they work together so well.
To begin, I chose one of the Painted Petals and Portraits catalyst collage papers that didn't have a portrait and cut it down to fit my 8 x8 inch journal page. I used matte medium to glue it to the page.

Next I cut out the top three pictures from the cover sheet and glued them to black card. I cut them out leaving a narrow black border.
Then I stamped just the heads of both sizes of Cone Flower, 2 of the large and 3 of the small. I coloured them with distrsss oxide inks and a damp paintbrush.  After adding white posca pen highlights I cut them out.
I used Versafine Clair nocturne ink to stamp some of the pointed leaf stem from the Journaling Essentials 2 stamp set. I then cut parts of these out. I did not want the full length of them.
Next I glued the 3 panels to the page, I used glue for the first one, then for the second one layer of foam tape and the third with a double layer of foam tape.

Next I added the cone flower and leaves, tucking some under the panels and others over the panels.

I added a wordy sticker sentiment on which I drew a scribble border around the edges.
Finally I added a black posca pen faux stitch border to the page.

Products used:
White and Black Posca Pens
Versafine Clair nocturne ink
Distress Oxide - mustard seed, picked raspberry,  spiced marmalade

Thank you for taking a look and I can't wait to see what you create with the new products.

Alison
