Hi , I am still playing with my journaling stamps and this week have a tag for my step by step guide .
As with the other projects I have made using journaling stamps,I have tried to use just one set of, giving my self a bit of a challenge . So one tag and set # 5 Art Journaling Essentials stamps .
Using 3 distress inks ,Rustic Wilderness ,Saltwater Taffy and Broken China , I created a watery smooshed background . I did dry my tag between each colour to keep the colours crisp .
Next I added some stencilling using Dinkables from sets 11 and 4 ,this time using Distress oxides , kitsch Flamingo and Twisted Citron inks for a more opaque /dense coverage .
Using the same section of inks I then added more stamping to my background ,this was done with the smaller stamps from the same journaling set .The background was then finished with a doodled border using a black fine liner and some white dots added detail to my leaves .
Next ,from this set I stamped both flowers and coloured with a mixture of the inks used for the background and some Ecoline water colour pens .The flowers were then cut out ready to add to my tag .
Here is my finished tag with the flowers glued on and a wordy sticker from set Autumn B added for my sentiment As this tag is really not autumnal at all , it shows just how versatile this stickers are .
