Alison CT - Tulips

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page. I have used a catalyst collage paper, texture discs and the Doodle Art Tulip stamp. You can use texture discs on your inkables project for Sally's challenge in the Bee Crafty Facebook group if you wish.
To begin, I tore a piece of the A4 Spring Paint Catalyst Collage paper to fit a page in my 8 x 8 kraft card journal and used matte medium to glue it to down.
Next, I applied distress crackle texture paste through the lines and circles texture disc  from set 4. I left this to dry completely.
Then I blended picked raspberry distress oxide through the chevron texture disc from set 2 and fossilised amber distress oxide through the circles texture disc from set 1.
After that, I stamped the small crosses from the Doodle Art Tulip stamp set using Morning Mist Versafine Clair.
On separate kraft card, I stamped both the large and small tulips twice using the morning mist ink pad. I coloured them with distress watercolour pencils in pink, yellow, antique linen and green. I then cut them out.

I used pva glue to attach them to the page. Cutting some stems down as I didn't want to hide to much of the background paper.
I then added one of the Creative Words transparency prints sentiments using matte medium.
Products used:

Distress Crackle Paste
Distress Watercolour Pencils
Distress Oxides - picked raspberry, fossilised amber

Thank you for taking a look. Hope I've inspired use to have a go at Sally's challenge and to use texture discs.

Alison
