For my first sample I have used the Doodle Art Fishes stamp set with one of the A4 Catalyst Collage papers cut down to 5 x 7. I have also used the bubbles and seaweed dinkables from set 7. I have stamped the bubbles and sentiment on to the background. The three fishes have been painted using Kuretaki Gansai Tambi Gem watercolour paints.
For my second sample I have cut a piece of the catalyst collage paper to just under 5 x 7 and glued it to a card blank. I've added silvery bubbles by blending Viva Inka Gold Platinum paint through the bubbles dinkable. I've added scales using the mermaid dinkable with blueprint sketch distress oxide. I've then stamped, coloured with Jane Davenport Bright watercolour paints, and cut out the Seahorse image before gluing it to the page with foam pads. I added a stamped sentiment. For my third sample, I cut a piece of white card to 5 inches square. I stamped the shells, turning the card a quarter turn each time, so the formed a circle. I added the waves and small fishes to fill gaps. I also added just one of the cirles with dots where the two waves met. I then die cut twocircles, one white and a larger blue. I stamped the sentiment and glued this centrally. I blended salty ocean distress oxide around the edge, then glued my panel to a 6 inch square card.
For my fourth sample, I blended ground espresso distress oxide through the knot dinkable from set 7 then cut it out. I cleaned the dinkable by spritzing it with water and pressing it several times on to a 4.5 x 6.5 inch piece of card. I then stamped a selection of leaves, coral and shells, which I coloured with distress watercolour pencils. I stamped and cut out the two fish and coloured them. I blended salty ocean distress oxide around the edge of the background, then I used foam tape to glue the knot to it. I used a wet glue to tuck leaves, coral and shells around the knot. I then used foam tape to adhere the fishes. I added a sentiment which I cut in to a pennent shape.
For my final sample, I tore round the rainbow paint effect sheet of catalyst collage paper and glued it to a piece of white card. Using the scales dinkable I added salty ocean distress oxide around the edges of the piece, overlapping on to the collage paper to help blend the edges in. I then stamped the bubbles and the sentiment over the page. On separate card, I stamped the fishes and Seahorse. I coloured them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Granulating watercolour paints, leaving them to dry naturally. I then cut them out and used foam tape to add them to the page. I finished by mounting the piece on black card.
