Light & Flight
By DT Ann
I love using butterflies, circles & numbers in my creations & this week is no different!! What’s your “go-too” when you’re journaling? It's felt like the light has been switched off, where my mojo is concerned, but persevered, went to my “go-toos” & my new favourite colours, hope you like my page....
I used:
Stamps: Birds & Butterfly XL set, Light Tomorrow, Typewriter Alpha, Texture Boarders & Texture Circles
Dies: Birds & Butterfly XL die set
Stencils: Regular Dots, Big Ones Bakewell, Texture Disc Set1, Circle
Distress Oxide Inks Pink Flamingo, Wild Honey & Squeezed Lemonade
Distress Oxide Sprays in Wild Honey & Pink Flamingo
Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink
Texture Paste
White Pen & Black Gesso
Clear Embossing Powder

First spritz both colours of Distress Oxide Sprays onto your page..
Next stencil across your page, using some Wild Honey through the Bakewell Big One.
Add some texture paste to opposite corners... for added interest.
On a separate piece of paper stamp the regular light bulb 3 times & 3 of the mini ones, using Versafine Clair Nocturne. Emboss with clear powder. Colour one of the large light bulbs with the Distress Oxides, I blended out starting with Squeezed Lemonade into Wild Honey & some Pink Flamingo around the edges. Fussy cut the 3 large ones & glue together (this gives it dimension & stability).
Colour the mini ones with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink & cover in clear embossing powder, heat & fussy cut out.
Stamp & clear emboss the Largest butterfly from the Birds & Butterfly XL set & die cut it.
Your page should now be dryer, stamp the tiny dotty boarder around the edges of your page, to create a frame. Add some circles from the Texture Circles set across your page.
Add some interest in the background using the texture disc & Circle 6x6 stencil & some Distress Oxide Ink Wild Honey & Pink Flamingo...
Use a selection of numbers from the Typewriter Alpha set in a random row.
Also add some black gesso through the Regular Dots stencil.
Glue the large lightbulb to your page, add the butterfly & a small lightbulb as the body of the butterfly.
Stamp & cut out a sentiment & glue to your page & the other two mini lightbulbs...
I added an extra circle as one was covered by the lightbulb :)
Finally add a few doodles to complete your page....
Thank you for stopping by... Ann xxx
