Bee Happy
By DT Ann
Hope you all had a lovely jubilee extended weekend .. it definitely put smiles on faces!! Spent some time in the garden watching the bees being busy & decided to create a tag, using the gorgeous Bee Monarchy stamp set.
I used :
Stamps: Bee Monarchy (stamp & die set) / Backgrounds, Textures & Boarders / Ticker Tape 1
Inkables: Texture Discs 2 / D’Inkables set 1 & 8
Versafine Clair Nocturne
Distress Oxide Inks: Hickory Smoke / Black Soot / Mustard Seed
Ecoline Pens: Yellow no 202
Rub some Hickory Smoke ink onto the blending mat, spritz with water & smoosh a Dina Wakley tag through it several times…
Using Black Soot randomly add some hexagons through the Hexagon D’Inkable …
Add some splatters with watered down Mustard Seed ink & a black Posca pen…
I nearly finished there but felt the tag needed something else, using the end of the little dotty stamp & Versafine Clair Nocturne, I stamped so it looks a bit like washi tape…
Make sure your tag/inks are dry, pat with an anti-static bag so any embossing powder doesn’t stick where you don’t want it to!
Use the hexagonal D’Inkable again & draw through individual hexagons using a Versamark pen .. sprinkle with gold embossing powder & heat set…
On a separate piece of paper stamp (in Versafine Clair Nocturne) & die cut 3 bees using the Bee Monarchy sets. Colour with Ecoline pen 202 ( yellow) …
Thank you for stopping by…. Ann xxx
