Here is a closer look at all my samples created for the recent Hochanda show using the Bee monarchy stamps, inkables, dies and MDF, with a little insight to how I created them...
MDF pop outs glued onto the canvas, then some texture paste added for extra interest around the elements.
Coat of black gesso.... (Let it dry)
Then dry brushed copper and teal gilding polish over the surface lightly to accent all the raised areas.
Added the sentiment which I glazed with glossy accents.
Painted the main jar backing with gold.
Coloured the rim and top with metallic posca paint pens.
Coloured the floral MDF elements with metallic markers.
Added die cut bees and sentiment.
Distress ink background using the smoosh technique.
The multi hexagon ink'able details added in black soot distress ink.
Die cut bees edged in complimenting colours of distress ink.
Die cut honey comb and ticker tape sentiment.
Silver gilding polish for the background.
Gold gilding for the rim.
Mix of gilding polish to add colours to the decorative elements.
