Last weekend’s challenge inspired this weeks blog post…
3 colours, 2 stamp sets & 1 Dinkable set
I decided to take 3 pinks just to make it a little bit different with black & white …
I used:
Stamps: Journal Art Elements 3, Journaling Essentials #3
Distress Oxide Inks: Abandoned Coral, Saltwater Taffy, Worn Lipstick
Versafine Clair Nocturne
Start with a piece of mixed media paper (300gsm) cut to 3.5” x 8”
Then blend patches of each colour onto the paper leaving a little white space…
Spritz & splash some water on to the paper, this gives a speckled effect. After a couple of minutes blot the excess water & dry the paper if needed…
To add more layers blend some Abandoned Coral ink through the diamond Dinkable…
…and some Worn Lipstick blended through the Brick Wall Dinkable…
Cut your paper at two & a half inch intervals, making 3 ATCs (3 1/2” x 2 1/2”) …
Add some stamping in Abandoned Coral with the circle from Journal Art Elements 3…
From the Journaling Essentials #3 add the bluebell/ tulip shape flower as a focal image onto each ATC, in black ink. Use the grid stamp to create a backdrop for the flower head…
Use various small elements from each set in black or a coloured ink to add interest to the background…
Stamp the bluebell/tulip flower head 3times, onto a separate piece of paper in black & cut out …
Stamp the word ‘art’ onto 3 strips of paper (approximately 1cm wide)…
Staple the ‘art’ words to your ATCs…
Add some doodles with a white pen& edge with some black ink…
Thank you for stopping by… Ann xxx
