Because my cards are shiny, they need to be primed with some sort of paper. I decided to use catalyst papers for this one, and as there are no diamonds on any of the papers, I went for the plain one from pack 2. I made the paper wet before adding the collage medium, as this makes it more transparent than just with medium, then covered my card. I used an emeryboard to remove the excess paper from around the edges.
Next I used the diamond plate six inch inkable with candied apple distress oxide to start the background.
Then I added texture paste through the distressed diamond dinkable from set 2.
Next I used versafine clair nocturne to stamp the small diamond/square stamp from the journaling essentials 4 stamp set.
On seperate card, I stamped two of the leaves, from Journaling Essentials 2, using versafine clair verdant ink and one of the flowers, from Journaling Essentials 4, with versafine clair strawberry. I coloured the flowers using the remaining ink on my blending brush from using the stencil before. I then cut them out.
Finally I added a sentiment from the Small Words stamp set, which I stamped with the strawberry inkthen cut out and edged with a black pen.
Products used:
