Winter Trees
By DT Ann
I recently bought one of the boxes of oddments from Bee Crafty & found lots of lovely shapes inside... I decided to use this mdf tag with a Christmasy theme ..
Inkables: Trees Frame
Stamps: Numbers #1
Green chalk paint
Distress Oxides: Black Soot
Ecoline #508 (Prussian Blue)
Versamark
White Embossing Powder
Glitter
Tag
Paint the tag with black gesso & dry
Use the tree frame stencil & green chalk paint in the bottom left corner, you’ll need 2-3 coats to get depth of colour, it does dry quickly though.
Spritz some gloss spray onto your tag, leave to dry..
While your tag is drying cut a circle approximately 6cm across & stamp “25” onto it, I staggered it to make both numbers fit, emboss in white.
Using the Tree Frame, mask the painted trees & draw around the outline with the Ecoline pen. Add some snow to the trees using a white Pisca pen.
Cover a star (pop outs) with glue or texture paste & add some glitter on top. Add more glue (or texture paste) to the bottom of the tag & sprinkle with glitter, creating a snow effect, leave both to dry. I found the Ecoline seeped & coloured the "snow effect, & added extra colour later.
