Alison CT - Simple stencilled card

Hi today I'm sharing a card made using masking and stencils.

Cut a piece of white smooth card to 6.5 x 4.5 inches.
Cut the 45mm stencil tape into 1cm strips. Stick this around the edges of your piece of card, to form a border. Stick other pieces diagonally across the card to form a pattern as in the photo.

Choose 3 6x6 inkables and 3 coordinating distress oxides. Place a large post-it or piece of paper over the stencil tape as shown in the photo.

Using the lightest colour and the alternating circles inkable apply to the bottom and top areas that are masked off. Once you have completed the stencilling use the remaining ink on the brush to lightly colour behind the circles.
Repeat with a different stencil and the middle shade of ink on the next two areas of card. You will need to use two pieces of paper or post-its this time to mask off areas you don't want the ink on.

Repeat in the two central areas using the darkest shade of ink and the third stencil.

Very carefully remove the stencil tape. This can be kept for another project, if desired.
Choose your sentiment from the incredible words stamp set and stamp using versafine clair nocturne.
Mat and layer knto black card then a 5 x 7 card blank.

Products used:

Inkables (6×6) - basket weave, alternate circles, distressed diamonds
Distress oxide ink - kitsch flamingo, picked raspberry, seedless preserve
Wordage stamps - incredible words

Thank you for taking a look and if you do create a project based on this post please share in the Bee Crafty Facebook group.
