Hi There! It is lovely that Artist Trading Cards are still popular in the Crafting community. For this who don't already know, They are little creations measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches. I thought I would show you how I made these ATCs today.
I began by spraying two ATCs using Distress oxide sprays in Peacock Feathers and Crackling Campfire, and left them to dry.I used Versafine Clair ink in Warm Breeze and Acorn to stamp some of the mandalas on to them.Once these were dry, I rubbed over them with an anti static cloth and stamped a few patches of the crackle stamp in Versamark ink, Embossing with Gold detail embossing powder. On a scrap of white card I stamped the butterfly several times. I inked the centre of the stamp again and stamped directly onto the ATCs where the butterflies were to be positioned. I then coloured them and cut them out, cutting off the antennae.
I shaped the wings a little with a bone folder and stuck them on with Collage Medium.
Next I selected some words from the small word stamp set, stamped in Versamark ink onto some teal-coloured card and heat embossed in white. I cut these out and attached to the ATCs.
here are a couple more photos with the light catching the gold embossingI used:
Mixed media card cut into ATCs
Distress oxide sprays in Peacock Feathers and Crackling Campfire
Coloured pencils
Versafine Clair inks in Nocturne, Warm Breeze and Acorn
Versamark ink
Embossing powders in detail gold and detail white
I will be live on the Bee Crafty Facebook page at 8pm this evening if you fancy joining me.
Thanks for looking!
