Sally DT - Moonlit tree

Hi There! I am here with another step by step tutorial for a card featuring that gorgeous Beautanicals tree.

I used Distress oxides in squeezed lemonade, mustard seed, broken china, blueprint sketch, faded jeans and black soot.

The tree stamp is from the Beautanicals Large branch and tree set

The sentiment is from the Wordage Moon and stars set

The dotty stamp is from the Doodle Art Sunflower set

The skyline inkable is Horizon 1

I also used a fan brush, water, a gold mica spray, versamark ink, gold embossing powder, a 15cm square of smooth stamping card, gold paper and an 18cm square card.

First use sponges or a blending tool to make a circle of mustard seed distress oxide ink for the moon on your stamping card. Add some squeezed lemonade around it.

Next add broken china, then blueprint sketch and faded jeans. You can go back in with previous colours to smooth it out.

Use the fan brush to splatter with water and then with the mica spray. Dry thoroughly.

Stamp the tree in versamark ink and heat emboss using the gold embossing powder. I brushed a little away along the bottom edge of the trunk so it didn't make a solid line.

Use the inkable to mask off just above the bottom of the tree trunk and blend black soot Distress oxide to ground the tree.

Stamp the sentiment in versamark and emboss with the gold embossing powder.

Take the base card and stamp the dotty stamp in the three blue shades of distress oxides around the edge. Drag the sponge around the edge of the base card too.

Finally mat and layer onto the base card with the gold paper.

Here is one last photo letting the light catch the embossing.

Thanks for looking!
