Seeing
as we are now in July, I think it is OK to start thinking about making our
Christmas Cards! I usually choose one design and make variations on the same
theme. I like something quick and easy, especially when I am making several of
the same design.

I
started by cutting a 5.5 x 5.5 square of card to use as the topper. Then, using
the outside of the Easy Frame, gently brushed the Spun Sugar in the centre, making
the outside edge slightly darker.
Next, take the small bauble stamps and using Versa Mark evenly stamp them around the edge of the pink circle. Once stamped sprinkle with silver embossing powder and heat with your heat tool. Then, stamp the Happy Christmas from the Robin set in the centre of the circle and again, sprinkle with the silver embossing powder and heat.
Stamp 4 baubles on a piece of scrap card. Colour and carefully cut out. They are quite small, but it doesn’t take long to cut out as they are an easy shape to follow.
Take the border stamp from the Bauble stamp set and stamp along the edges of your topper with Versa Mark ink, sprinkling with the silver embossing powder once again.
Using
a fine paintbrush and the Spun Sugar distress ink, colour the baubles on the
main card topper and allow to dry.
Finally matt the topper onto some pink card and adhere to your card base. Then place one of the cut out baubles onto each of the corners of the card using foam pads.
You could change the appearance of your card by using a different colour or many of the smaller stamps from any of the Bee Crafty Yuletide Stamp sets.
Many thanks for looking at the blog today. I hope you are getting your Christmas card making underway, even if we are still in the middle of summer!
